great beginner camera ....and then some
This camera is perfect for a beginner and has all the latest features and capabilities for taking it to the next level. Advise for the beginner to make sure and register the product online and go through all the tutorials nikon has to offer. Plenty to do and think about as your taking photos besides just clicking using the auto setting (even though you will auto have great pictures)...

For 99% of photographers, this is the only camera you need
If you are a pro photographer, you might want a full-frame sensor in a more rugged body to endure daily abuse. But you also wouldn't be reading this review. So, for the vast majority of photographers, this camera will do everything you need and more.
Image quality is excellent, resolution is top-notch, and it's light-weight for a DSLR, There are more lenses available for this camera than you will ever need. The only thing limiting the quality of the images would be the skill of the photographer.
There are smaller and lighter cameras out there. There are cameras that have better low-light capabilities (although the D3200's are excellent). But for the vast majority of photographs that the vast majority of photographers ever need to take, this camera will do it.Lire l'avis complet...

Awesome Video and Very good crisp audio
This Nikon D3200 gives a great sharp video and allows adjustment of the ISO during the recording. the Audio is Awesome, you can adjust the mike for very loud concerts and the audio comes out as sharp and clear as the stage system. the only draw backs are the camera will over heat after 30 min if the indoor temp is 78 deg or higher. and it only records for 20 min at a time and you have to watch the onscreen timer and the timer onscreen print is really small PLUS it don't have any way to know how much time is left on the SDHC card. but othe rthan that its a great camera. i did figure out how to keep it cool by leaving the SDHC card door open and making a external battery pack with just an insert into the battery compartment and now i'm able to run for the whole one hour recording session and it still don't over heatLire l'avis complet...

Whether you shoot manual or automatic, you will definitely be happy with the Nikon D3200.
Top Quality Camera and Lense. Like all top of the line electronic produts, it has much that needs to be learned, but not impossible. Upgrading my D3100 made SO EASY!
This replacement body looks like Brand New! I'm upgrading from a Nikon D3100, so the controls being so similar is helpful to me. From what I can tell, the image is excellent, as have my other Nikons over the years. A Very Good Value. Good weight for travel. Takes great pictures.
Makes a great backup camera body. You need to ready the manual carefully to tweet the settings for maximum color fidelity and sharpness. Lots of control features for an amateur camera.

i'm so old school I find these new digital thing way too complex and way too delicate and the Nikon D3200 is no exception.
That being said, this camera does what it does very well. The 24 mp provide an incredibly sharp image, albeit at the cost of low light agility. The lenses that usually come with, are good tools for someone trying to step up from beginner. A versatile camera with great options
The camera is easy to use and intuitive. The manual is helpful. All the accessories that went along with this purchase are great. And it all fits in the bag! It is nice that the camera can be "point and click" with the auto feature, but can be set to manual to do fancy stuff. Excellent Camera and Excellent value.
Excellent camera - very easy to operate. I have the same camera, but the focus mechanism is non functional and this is a replacement. Still use the older D3200 on manual focus - metering is fine.
