Darrell Lance Abbott (August 20, 1966 – December 8, 2004), also known as Diamond Darrell and Dimebag Darrell, was an American guitarist. He was best known as a founding member of the heavy metal bands Pantera and Damageplan. Abbott also contributed to the album Rebel Meets Rebel, a collaboration between Pantera and David Allan Coe. Darrell is considered to be one of the driving forces behind groove metal. Damage Plan

Great CD, Dimebag Darrell was one of my favorite Guitarists and musical idols growing up. In my opinion, this album represented the best sound he ever had, and I am also a huge fan of his work with Pantera. The guitar work on this album is fairly simple and bone crushing, which makes it great in my opinion. I bought this cd on ebay for the price, and for the fact that I needed another copy. This really is an excellent disc. It shows all the talent of Pantera's work, but it is NOT a rehash. It's completely original and in fact, soundwise on this disc, Damageplan sounds faintly reminiscent of Sepultura in their prime. This was the best recent addition to my CD collection!
