Easy DIY Install Project

First of, I am an average handy-man at best. Following the YouTube instructional videos online made it relatively easy installation especially when I figured out the common wire was the white wire for our system. New Toy

I love this. Its clean looking, easy to use. I like the fact that it is WiFi. I can control it from anywhere. I installed it my self and was noooo problem at all. I also like that I can look at the history and run time. I am not the guy for having my phone on location, which is only a issue for " while your away". One of the best smart thermostats on the market!

Installation was a breeze! Nest has a support page on their website where you can enter what wires you have on your old thermostat, and they will instantly create a custom wire diagram for you so you know exactly where to attach your wires into the new unit.

I recently installed a couple of the Nest Protect smoke/CO2 detectors and wanted to take advantage of the connectivity to the Nest thermostat. Now that I have the thermostat, the detectors will tell the thermostat to turn off the furnace in the event of a CO2 event to prevent the furnace for adding additional CO2 into the home.

I also love the fact that I can adjust the temperature in my home from my smart phone. So if I'm on vacation or away for a long weekend, I'll no longer come home to a hot or cold house.

This thing is packed with too many other great features to list. Nest's products carry a higher cost compared to other brands on the market, but the quality and features are worth the higher price. Simple installation, looks sleek, and easy to operate

I was a bit surprised by this Nest. I know they claim about a 30 minute installation, but I was keeping my expectations low. Honestly, I think I spent more time trying to find the breaker for the furnace (then just flipped the switch next to it) than I did removing old thermostat, marking wires, and installing the Nest. It even comes with a screw driver with a flippable bit (tiny flat to remove wires from old thermostat, and phillips to mount it).

A bit too soon to know about energy savings and all that, but the Eco settings (temp it will go to if nobody is home) definitely works. Kinda fun to open the app and see temp inside the house.Lire l'avis complet...

Great product

I love this thermostat so far, especially the ECO, because it will save me money on my electric bill and I can control the temperature from my mobile device and it works with Alexa. Plus, my electric company is offering a program, if you buy a Nest thermostat 3rd generation and let the electric company adjust your settings during the peak, which is one - two hours during heavy use, they will credit your bill $100.00 and a $5.00 credit every month from June until September. Highly recommended

So far, I am very satisfied. The installation was a bit tricky but mostly it was because the color code was mixed up on my older thermostat. Once installed, it worked as advertised.
