Need for Speed III: Awesome Game!

This game is cool because of its many game modes. One can play with by himself or play with other people. There is a 2-player mode where two players can play using one computer and one keyboard. There is also a multiplayer mode where several people can play using more than one computer. The Hot Pursuit mode is great! The player can either be chased by the police or he can be the police. Other modes include Knockout and Tournament. There is a replay feature where a player can save replays of his races and then view those replays from several different angles. Even though this is an older game the graphics are still pretty good. I would recommend this game for people who enjoy racing and police chase games.Lire l'avis complet...

15 years and I still love and play these older nfs games

I have most of these need for speed games and run them on a variety of os win 98, xp even this old game on a newer i7-2600 running win7 with 27" aoc LCD. it loaded and ran just like old times but with faster loads and highest settings. For this old of game do not expect the grahpics to be up to modern standards but they still look great. You sould just race anyway, if you look at the trees you crash.Lire l'avis complet...

Newer Version

While this EA video game was orginally written to work with Windows 98, a 32 bit operating system, this paticular release was done in 2002 and the seller advertized it would work with XP which it did. XP is a 32 bit OS but built on NTFS rather than the FAT32. I wasn't sure the game would run but took a chance and was pleased with the results. It also ran on my Vista Ultimate gaming machine!! I chose this one over the other ones on auction because the others did not appear to be the "updated" versions. The sellers informaive description made the difference.Lire l'avis complet...

Don't know yet? it too old for Vista!! OPPs!!

The series is the greatest thing to hit a PC. This one is older but my kid wanted it so I tried it...All PCs in the house are Vista and it will not play in compatibility mode. We will put it on an older machine someday and then we will see. We own all the others so trust me, it is a good generic pill for the need for speed!!
Definitely to old for vista! And it is hard to play on XP even...so we just don't play it...Sorry folks...we lost interest in attempting to get it going. Not mad though...it was a fair purchase, and easy going with seller...so we just research harder next time!!Lire l'avis complet...

Oldie, but awesome

I think this is the best game in the NFS series and I still play it after 15 years and there is no match for this game....
