Not Bad. . . But also not Great!

O.K. Here is the deal with this game. . .
If you played Need for Speed “Most Wanted" game, that is the best it’s going to get. If you’re going to compare this game to "most wanted" you may be a bit disappointed. However. . .
* "Undercover" is a total different story line, its good but not as great.
* You start off with a descent car, so the races are not much challenging in the begining for experienced gamers therefore its more about following the game story line than avoiding being beat in a race. As the game progresses it does however get more challenging.
* The Graphics are Awesome! The Cars are great! Very detailed overall.
* The story line is a bit hard to follow in the beginning; you may have to give the game a chance to grow on you. However you will not be disappointed once it does.
* There are more of a variety of challenges to, which is awesome!
* The one touch button gets you right into the race challenges, which is a good and bad thing, because it kind of takes away from the game a bit, and you tend to loose the story line a bit, but it advances you quicker into building up money and new cars.

Over all this is a Great game, as long you don’t compare it to its predecessor. It will be fun to play, and if you pace yourself the story line will get interesting and intrigue you to continue to play more. The music definitely suits the driving, and the things you can do with your car are pretty cool too.
In my opinion, it’s a keeper!

Black Box forgot a spark plug or two. And an engine.

EA's Need for Speed franchise has been in an odd position the last couple years. While the franchise often worked to mix up the formula from year to year a decent bit, the release of EA's own Burnout Paradise posed a bit of a conundrum for the publisher. With Burnout switching to an open world setting, it meant that it competed directly with Need for Speed in that space. Last year's Need for Speed ProStreet was a diversion for the series from recent years, going to track-based racing, plenty of tuning options and focusing entirely on the events than exploring the city or running from the cops.

ProStreet didn't turn out too well, so Black Box went back to the drawing board and returned to an open world setting with this year's Need for Speed Undercover, but that wasn't the only design change. Undercover also seems to be directed right at the casual market, both in terms of presentation and its extremely relaxed learning curve.

A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT FOR NFS FANS

I am a fan of Need for Speed series and I have been loving this game since Most Wanted and Carbon.. I didn't really like it when ProStreet came out and I got even more disappointed with Undercover. First, I didn't believe why people have been badmouthing this game and I gave it a try, which I eventually would regret.

Okay, so I have been playing all my games on my PS3 smoothly, with beautiful graphics, and glorious sound. One thing I really hate about this game is its bugs and glitches. The game is very laggy at times when you play it, very often that it starts to annoy you and you wouldn't blame the PS3 of course. And it is not because of the disc, cos I am buying it brand new. Then at times during racing, the scenery in front of you will be a clear sky like when you are going to go down a hill, NOT. It is actually a graphical glitch! makes me really wonder why this can happen at this game using PS3. It's embarrassing playing this game on PS3! So first you think you are going downhill, when seconds later the road suddenly pops out and it's a sharp turn that you will not be able to make unless using the speed-braker.

Then I can't tolerate how the visual performance and quality using PS3 and HDTV is so mediocre! And it is really slow in loading the game. Everytime you enter an event or trying to access your car, tuning your engine, and any other activities, you are going to face the very slow loading screen that's annoy me so much that most of the time I can't really get myself play this game cos of its slow load. Can you imagine how dreadful it is to tune and test drive your car if the game has to load so slow after we make some minor adjustment?

For me, for my fellow EA and NFS lovers, avoid this version, like how we have avoided ProStreet. Let's just hope that EA and Blackbox can do better with the next version, SHIFT.

Not The Best NFS

I don't really know what to say!!
I really expected a lot from this game, especially starring characters been playing by well known actors (Maggie Q,ETC) but i was kinda disappointed, the game mode practically the same, one thing there is no save box , so when done something it stays and you can not load game back, for example if cops catch you enough your gone forever, and types of missions they all similar, cops still dumb enough to runaway it's just if get Chopper following you that could get you in trouble, there are no trophies in it!! another mines.
i would give game 3.5 out of 5
P.S. yep in The beginning the game is exiting but after playing couple hours it gets boring!!
Graphics 4 out of 5
Action 4 out of 5

NFS Undercover

I've played all the need for speed games on both systems(360 and PS3), and this game comes in towards the top. It's not the best one, but it sure beats the heck out of prostreet. I was a little worried about purchasing this game after playing prostreet, because I couldn't stand that game whatsoever. It was rushed through in it's design just to get it out. Alright, enough about that crap. This game is definitely worth the money is that it lives up to the need for speed name. The story line is good, although sometimes clashes with the other races, almost like two separate games at once. All in all I recommend this game and hope the next installment to the need for speed series will blow the rest away. I can hope can't I. Til next time, game away.
Any questions please feel free to contact.

NOT THE BEST IN THE SERIES

Need for Speed: Undercover. Mediocre racing and tacky styling leave it stuck in neutral, gunning its engine while going absolutely nowhere. While a long campaign mode and intriguing new experience system get the pistons pumping, everything grinds to a halt when the rubber hits the road in the newest installment of the series.

If you haven’t played a NFS game in the past four years, Undercover is a decent option if you want to rekindle your love affair with the stalwart series. NFS of old was about hot cars, hot pursuits and miles and miles of open road, and Undercover make a semi-successful fist of recapturing some of this magic. Looks great, plays fine. There’s no getting around the fact, however, that Undercover is basically Most Wanted with a new lick of paint.

OVERALL
6/10

RENT THIS GAME FIRST OR DOWNLOAD THE DEMO..TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU LIKE IT!

I WOULD RECOMMEND MOST WANTED (HALF THE PRICE OF UNDERCOVER)

NFS- UuderCover

Prostreet wasn't up to the brand name and it was a let down in my view. But undercover brings back the fun of the underground and underground2 days. Free roaming, open battles and Cop chases bring a lot of game play back to the game.

I did notice that the game does have some problems with distant rendering, as the environment renders as you progress through the track. That tends to get a little annoying as it does affect game play.

The idea of in game damage is fun and what makes it more interesting is that you dont pay for repairs, helping you spend all that hard earned bucks on upgrades!!

Over all tis a nice game, 7/10 as far as I'm concerned.

Avoidable title from the NFS series. Get Hot Pursuit instead!

Undercover is one of the less impressive titles from the NFS franchise. With easy as a pie races, not much dazzling environments and a non-existent story line, its not exactly a great racing experience. The worst thing is the absence of split screen racing so no racing with your friends at home. The only thing going for it is the superb background score and some neat cars. Got it only because it came cheap but wouldn't have paid even that much if had known that there was no split screen play.Lire l'avis complet...
