Pleasant surprise

The game play is pretty good but one down fall is the graphics need for speed pro street graphics are more realistic then this one but u kinda get use to it overall still a good game

the graphics are not like grid but the gameplay and fun are much higher!

has potential but underivable cars... too bad...

I LOVE racing games... and I love the potential this game has, the ONLY thing I hate about this game is the cars are almost impossible to drive... something is seriously wrong with the handling of the cars... I spent hours tweaking the setup and it only helped a little... it should not be this hard to handle the car... There has to be a patch out there to help this... the car bounces around unless you are 101 % super smooth, and even then, ... also the Anti lock brakes are ridiculous, it takes a quarter miles to stop from top speed... it helped to remove this feature and go with no assist, but then the car unsettles itself under breaking and starts bouncing... I've driven plenty of simulation and arcade racing games to know there is a serious problem with this game... it's too bad...Lire l'avis complet...

Great game!

This is definatly a game for the avid racer. This isn't just another crash and smash. Interfaces well enough with my Logitec GT wheel/pedals, though the feedback input from race conditions are a little lacking. Load times are a little annoying but tolerable. They drop you right into racing without much intro and workup, so this is a good one for those who know how use racing games. The scoring system is nice and the difficulty levels are well done. Pricing for cars and upgrades is reasonable and realistic. Though if you tier up you don't get to do the remaining tracks(if you wanted the chance to run them for points/ect). Need for Speed Shift (Playstation 3)

Tried the game as a rental first and immediately was hooked. The driving characteristics do differ from previous NFS games, but after a few races, loved the change. Car customization is huge. you can change paint, body kits, rims, and many engine and suspension mods. Some cars even have the Works package option which turns your ordinary fully modded car into the full blooded racer it wants to be. Only thing NFS needs to do is bring back the good old fashion police chases which this game is missing. Other than that this game is a must buy if you at all like racing games.Lire l'avis complet...

Fun game, was worth the money.

Overall I like the game, their are a few annoying things involved but then most games have that.

A glorious return to greatness!

Closing Comments
Need for Speed Shift is a glorious return to greatness (and even excellence) for EA's seminal racing franchise. Slightly Mad Studios has delivered a driving experience that, while not completely accurate in terms of its simulation aspects, is practically dead-on in terms of what it's like to race around some of the world's best racing circuits. The career mode could (and should) have been a little better, but the act of driving is basically phenomenal.

Generally stellar visuals with a tad bit of blurriness here and there from mip-mapping issues.

Brilliantly executed in pretty much every respect.
9.0 Gameplay
The driving experience is incredible, and the controls are practically perfect for this approach. But, the career mode is lacking.
7.5 Lasting Appeal
Lots of events to partake in, but the career mode won't keep you racing for hundreds of hours like some of the competition. The online is very fun, but minimal in options.

Enjoyable car game.

I Bought this Need for Speed Shift game because my nine year old son wanted to try it. He likes car racing. He has been playing it ever since. He enjoyed it so much he now wants more race car games. The disc was brand new and mailed nicely. He likes the game because he can choose his own style of cars to race and can drive at his speed. Great game for young ones.Lire l'avis complet...

Another great game from the Need for Speed series. It has all the new cars you'd want to drive (Shelby GT500, Camaro SS, Challenger RT, Z06, etc) but the game lacks the fun storyline like past games.
