One of the few solid dragracing games
I will start this review with a disclaimer. I not basing the merits of this game by comparing it to arcade games where anyone can just pick up the game in a few minutes. I'm comparing this game to what I think a good dragracing game should be.
I've been disappointed in dragracing games in the past so researched different games online and found this one to be the highest rated.
It turned out to be slightly better than expected.
The graphics are not spectacular but much better than other similar games I've seen.
What is really great is the depth of control you have over the setup of your car. I'm stil fairly new to the game but everything from shiftpoints to the angle of your tailwhing is adjustable. This can be alittle over bearing but the game offers autotuning based on the track and conditions.
I'm a very amatuer dragracer. I go to the local dragstrip and work on cutting my reaction time, which is usually the deciding factor in a race. For this purpose the game can really help you if you are running off the light, but I've yet to see a feature that would allow a delay box.
The game only features rail cars, funny cars, and prodrag cars, no hot rod or street cars.
The game also has some videofootage of the different racers and of some of thier more famous races.
I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a good dragracing game, but would not recommend it to the average arcade racing fan.Lire l'avis complet...
ValuSoft strikes again
I bought a ValuSoft-made drag racing game for my computer about 7 years ago. It was a JOKE! There were some Plug n Play features that were needed but NOT LISTED on the box. When ValuSoft notified me of the "problem" they did NOTHING to reimburse me or fix the problem.
I bought this game for my PS2 because it came highly recommended and the other drag racing product got mediocre reviews. The game works but it is amateurishly produced and the graphics are sub-standard. Nobody would ever confuse this with an EA produced product.
The game is pretty basic with not a lot of extras. Another problem I have is that if you want to tune your car then you have to reselect your track and conditions all over again. Time consuming and clumsy. If this is the best drag racing product out there then it's a sad day for drag racing fans.
NHRA needs to contract with EA from now on.Lire l'avis complet...

Rare sport game, it is very realistic, it has pretty cool graphics. The game is very challenging when it comes to car set-up after each run, so it keeps me interested. Personally, i have no complaints with this game. I've been in to it ever since i got it.Lire l'avis complet...
nhra championship drag racing sony playstation 2, 2005
a real entaining game, real professional makes you feel like you are in the car yourself and really competing. would reccomend to all my friends to purchase. don't have any complaints about the game.

Very nice game. I think it's better then the 2007 countdown. The new game is like unreal. In the 2005 the cars handle more like real then the 2007.

NHRA Championship Drag Racing
I only play racing games.This one is a real test of reaction & reflex skills. Great test of hand eye coordination. I would recommend this one to anyone into motorsports.
