Works for simple need to expand number of ports in a location without having to pull more cable .. much simpler/cheaper to put this in a location, given the growth of wired devices

A decent 8 port switch.

I just had to get a power supply for it. I was told that the unit works fine. Once I got a power supply for it, everything I connected to the switch worked fine.
