Mystaria AKA Blazing Heroes
Never had this game back in the day so i bought it recently. If you like turn based strategy RPG's then you will probably like this one. Graphics are pretty good for 20 years ago, music is decent but a bit repetative. I liked how using certain techniques unlocked new ones. It took me a little over 40 hours to complete so you get plenty of gameplay.Lire l'avis complet...

A gem for Sega Saturn and SRPG fans
Mystaria - The Realms of Lore was one of the first games I saw playing on the Sega Saturn and it blew my mind at the time. It was 1996 and was addicted to the Shining Force series for the Genesis so you can imagine the thrill when I saw a game of the same genre, but with 3D graphics in SEGA's new and much more powerful system. At the time, owning a Sega Saturn was a dream that didn't come true and now that I have one more almost 15 later I couldn't be more happy to have this game in my collection.
Mystaria plays a lot like your regular SRPG, but it has some unique characteristics that make it shine with its own light. One of them is the fun and practical ability system, in which your characters learn new abilities simply by using techniques of the same kind, such as different attacks, healing and offensive spells, etc. The more you use a type of technique, the more you learn similar and stronger ones. There's a lot of dialogue in the game and the story is engrossing, if somewhat generic. But gameplay is where this game excels at, and you simply can't get any better than this when it comes to SRPG games.
If you like SEGA's unjustly bashed 32-bit system and this kind of game, this is one of the first you should buy. It will provide you with hours of fun and a taste of what the gaming industry was doing at the dawn of the 3D era.Lire l'avis complet...
Mystaria: The Realms of Lore
If you are a Sega Saturn fan this game is a must own! The Saturn does not have too many good RPG titles but Mystaria is one of the exceptions! The battle system is very similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. Overall it is a great game with very good graphics and gameplay. This game can usually be bought at a very reasonable price! So if you own a Saturn and are an RPG fan be sure to pick this one up!Lire l'avis complet...

Awesome!
I don't know why I like this game so much but I do! Its such a simple, basic tatics/rpg but it has all the core elements to make up a great game. The graphics are outdated by now of course but with games like this the game play is what really counts and its not lacking at all by any means.Lire l'avis complet...
Incredibly Fun to Play
This has been a fun game to dive into and experience. As there are not that many rpg's on the Saturn in North America (or games total), it was great to find this game.
