I bought this phone because I need a spare and didn't want to spend a lot of money. (I drop mine a lot at work). If you just need the basics, this phone is perfect. Sound quality is very good, it's very easy to navigate through the phone, and it's fun!!! It holds up to 100 songs, has headphones so you can listen to it like an mp3 player and when you get a phone call the music stops and you can take your call.
If there is a downside it would be life of the battery, but if you can remember to plug it in at night, it's not a problem.Lire l'avis complet...
Great Phone but some flaws
This was a great phone when it first came out. I would only purchase this phone if you wanted a low prices MP3 phone. My charger for the phone doesn't properly charge the phone and my card for my videos, iTunes, etc does not work anymore and had to purchase a new one. Also sometimes the phone will automatically shut off. I would not really purchase a phone with MP3's on it if you have an iPod because I use my iPod more than my Rocker E1. If your looking to consolidate a MP3 and a phone together on a tight budget definitely purchase this phone it will give you what you want but you may have to invest some more money in it to keep it going after a year or so.Lire l'avis complet...
Another Apple scam
This phone claims to be an MP3 player, but will not download any music files not formatted by iTunes. My girlfriend bought this phone to use the MP3 player, but since none of us are willing to let Apple control what we listen to and how we spend our money, we cannot use the phone to play music.
Buyers beware, this is another one of Apples ripoffs. If there is some way to download independent music files, the method is so difficult and convoluted that none of the programmers or engineers that we've shown the phone to can figure it out.
As a phone, it seems fine. It makes and recieved calls, seems to carry a reliable signal, and the sound from the earpiece is on par with most cell phones. Not to say that most cell phones produce clear sound, but it's no worse than any others.

ROKR E1 is for teh win!
Even though this phone has been discontinued, you can still find it free with new contracts. The phone takes great pictures, great mp3 sound, and has upgradeable memory. The down fall of this phone is that the circuit board for the keypad buttons is very sensitive to water and easily damaged. However the phone is easily repaired with the proper screwdriver and parts are readily available on ebay from other phones or resellers. Great low price GSM phone
I bought this phone for my wife a couple of months ago because she needed a new one and she´s not a Tech savy (like me).
At first, she didnt like it because it is not so slim and also she wasnt used to the color. But then she started finding out the many features of the phone and now she loves it.
It is compatible with apple iTunes and the tones for wake up are very nice. (do not scare you)
It is also easy to use and the color is something like white pearl, which is very nice for a woman.

Motorola Rokr E1
Love this phone! Actually, my teenage daughter loves this phone. She has a Blackberry Pearl, but perfers to use the ROKR. Downloading her i-Tunes is very simple and phone has great sound quality. Only thing we don't like is the charger...I have always had problems with this type of charger on my other motorola phones also, but this is an older model, seems like the newer phones do have better ones. pretty good
Back when I got this phone it was 2005. I was amazed that a phone could work with itunes, and the phone I had previously the V180 didn't even have a camera. So I was happy to receive and use this phone. It was amazingly durable, and an amazing phone altogether. I dropped it and even got it wet a couple of times, resulting on the lights on the sides for some reason to flash sometimes, but besides that little issue it all worked. I gave it to my sister when her phone broke, she got it wet, and then the battery failed about a year later.
I would still get this phone, but I LOVE my iPhone betterLire l'avis complet...

most excellent phone I've ever had before i had the iphone. of course the iphone is the best but before iphone, i loved this thing. it syncs with your itunes, create ringtones, take pix and take videos. 3g cant even record videos without the video apps for it. this phone is not too big and not too thin. its pretty like a brand new hershey bar. hahahaLire l'avis complet...
Great sound
This phone has STEREO speakers so you can share your music with others. I use mine while I get ready in the morning. You can overide the 100 song limit(check the web). All the features you could want: bluetooth, MP3 ringtones, internet, etc... Great unit.Lire l'avis complet...
the most legged out buy ever
great cell...leggin out...heated buy. i bought it because i needed a cell. i wanted an mp3 cell so i looked for the rokr and there it was. i love this cell... the blue tooth is whack but the connection is leggin. everyone should buy this phone...once agian what a great phone...also heated means crazy...leggin means really awsome. this is miami-dade-guy...repping the 305Lire l'avis complet...
