Windows 10

Windows 10 is good. It boots faster, and can be setup for greater efficiency. Some of the negatives are the name changes for the regularly used functions and programs as well as initial finding of most common uses of PCs. These include names like (programs now apps) While similar in definition it is not a term typical for computers more oriented for phone and other small mobile devices. Finding control panel, or items that use to be in My computer are now in File Explorer or other areas. You will eventually find what your looking for but maybe developers should have asked non-IT businesses what they thought of the name and operational changes, they may have come up with better more user friendly product.

I started with Winodws 1.0 back in 1986 and this is by far the easiest install I've every done. I date from the CPM days so I've done my share.

I reluctantly moved to Win 10 Pro I was plenty comfortable with Win 7 Pro and being retired now I had no real need for any more power or bells and whistles but it was obvious that 7 was falling behind on the web. I took the leap and while I'm still adapting and there are things they changed that didn't need changing and some things they only made a bit worse. Windows has always tried to be too much of a swiss army knife if you ask me.

That said, the install/upgrade was the easiest I've done with any software since I started messing with computers in the late 70's. Inserted the DVD hit execute and within less than an hour it had overwritten my Win 7 Pro install, transferred almost all of my settings and files with very few and unimportant exceptions and had me up an running again as if it had always been there.

About the only real complaint I have, which is probably due to my not being up to speed on all the ways to customize it, is that the user interface in Edge/Explorer is pretty bland and the menu of things you can do along the top has been jumbled up and labeled with icons that aren't exactly intuitive if you've had decades to get used to what came before. I wish people would learn that not EVERYTHING needs to be redesigned.

Don't like it.

Good program, but I still like the set up in Windows 7, it seems that trying to get used to the the way you get to programs, is a round about way. Windows 7 was a more friendly system, and a lot easier to understand. The old addage if its not broke don't fix it. Example, run was very easy to find, now you have to go all over the place to find it. Don't keep moving programs around, leave them where they were. The desktop in 7 was neat and clean, now you got tiles covering up the w hole page. The face of 10 does not look that good. Just my opinion.Lire l'avis complet...

So Easy! A Skeptic Now A Believer!

I've never purchased a OEM key off the internet. I found a computer out on the street and replaced the harddrive and a few other components. I wanted to use the CPU to do project crunching via BOINC. I needed an operating system and after getting fed up with Linux, I decided to purchase a Windows key. I was looking at SCDKEY, but saw keys available on eBay for even cheaper. Seeing the reliable reviews for this seller, I took a leap of faith and purchased. The key worked without any issue and I've got Windows 10 64-bit now running on this "trash project" computer. Awesome!Lire l'avis complet...

OEM Windows

Product is as advertised: OEM Windows 10 Pro. Very fast ship and unbeatable price. This is a full version of windows without the big price tag.

I recommend using an 8 gb usb installation media stick (you can prepare it on windows' website) to install rather than using the DVD that comes with this kit because it is faster and most new computers don't have optical drives.

Thanks!

Product is and performs as listed.

The item requires a little more expertise than the average layman possesses. Having said that, I was able to get it to take onto a sata drive after three or four tries. (1 T. HD)
I have been running it for a week now with only a few bugs here and there. The main concern you may face is getting 64 bit drivers for your hardware. The O.S. (Win 64) provides most of what I needed in drivers, but there where issues when I tried to run my Asus motherboard CD. It would not mount, nor could it see the programs on the CD. I was able to get generic drivers online, but that can be a hassle if you don't know where to look. Lire l'avis complet...

Windows10 Pro (OEM Build 2017)

Recieved DVD earlier than it was scheduled to arrive. The activation key worked fine but givlng this 4 stars because the install files on the DVD are 2015 vs 2017 (picture on item page clearly shows Build Date 2017 on the label). This is why there are mixed reviews and complaints about the 2015 Build files. l read several reviews and followed the advise on one of them that suggested to get the latest build install files from Microsoft and download them to a USB drive.
Note: I "didn't" use the DVD install files from 2015.
I ran the 2018 setup files that I had downloaded to my USB drive, entered the activation key that came with the DVD, answered a couple of questions, and completed the install process in a couple hours. Highly recommend the USB option with the latest install files in order to avoid going through all of the annoying upgrade issues or conflicts.

Windows 10 Professional is all I use... Win Home is for cheap machines from Walmart, etc

This is one... 100% LEGITIMATE Microsoft Windows 10 DVD & COA! I was able to clone the SSD of a Dell Outlet Optiplex, install a new larger SSD and actually UPGRADE to Windows 10 Professional (don't ask me why Dell sells Optiplex Machines with Win10 Home installed) without doing a fresh install.

If you're here to buy a Windows 10 Professional License, this is the Product you need.
