Last great Mega Man game in x series

Not as hard as 3, not as obtuse as 2. X4 takes the x series back to basics and is my personal 2nd favorite after first x game.

Great gameplay and final form of sigma is amazing.

A fantastic 2d classic

From graphics to the animated cutscenes its a major step up from past games in the series graphic wise. It's worth picking up. I personally love this game and any other fan would agree its one of the better titles of the series within the top 5.Lire l'avis complet...

The best mega man game for the PS1..

This is deffinitly the best mega man game on the ps1. And its only like $20.

Peak MegaMan X

Great entry in this series! I would recommend anyone interested in the action platformer genre play this one. It belongs in any megaman fan's library for sure.

I grew up on the Mega Man X series, I absolutely love these games! Specifically X through X4. X4 also has my favorite soundtrack out of the series! Wanted to play this again and really enjoyed it!! I actually beat the game this time around...

Almost Better Than the Original

Mega Man X4 is one of the best games in the “X” series. Allowing you to play as both Mega Man, and Zero, X4 offers a wide variety of gameplay options.

In Mega Man X4 you have the option to play as one of two characters: Mega Man or Zero. Mega Man uses his traditional X-Buster, while Zero uses his Z-saber. Both characters are cool and fun to use and I would suggest using them both (though I do prefer Zero...). You basically run though a series of often difficult levels to defeat the boss at the end. There is a lot of action and platforming in this game and be prepared to get a few blisters (joke). The action is great, fast paced, and a lot of fun but there is also a bit of exploration to be done in each level. There are several power-ups and capsules (like previous X games) to be found that increase your life gauge and give you special abilities.

X4 has excellent graphics, it just looks great. The animations are all smooth and brightly colored. In addition to the graphics X4 is an extremely fun and fast paced 2D action game. While it is not better than the original, I do prefer it over X2 and X3, and the most recent X games. The special weapons and power-ups for each character are all useful and very cool. Instead of getting some kind of special weapon when you beat a boss with Zero, he learns a new move to perform with his Z-saber. Some of the levels also have hidden areas that contain special items (like in previous X games).

The only complaint that I have about this game is that sometimes the levels and bosses can be extremely frustrating. Other than that, I would consider this a near-perfect Mega Man game.

If you owned one Mega Man X game for Playstation, it should be X4.
