Europe is ripe for the taking ...

After my newer pc crashed, I wanted to play a game that would run well on my older Gateway 2000 pc. I love Rome: Total War, so I picked up Medieval: Total War and love it. The replay ability is great. I love turn-based strategy games that have a map backdrop (a la Civilization). Playing different nations and expanding without being excommunicating is a fun challenge.

The game did not include the technology tree, so I am stumbling about blind trying to find the advanced unique units (ie, Welsh Long-bowman). I am a veteran of many mmorpg's (Asheron's Call, Dark Age of Camelot, WOW etc), but with a busy work schedule and a family- my game-play time is limited. This game is ideally suited for short intervals of available time. You can save at any time and not have to wait for a mission or raid to end.

The action is limited to only battles that can also be automatically resolved if you prefer. I do enjoy the city-nation building aspect of it. Also, trying to "level" up certain units is also a fun challenge.

The graphics and audio are what they are for a decade old game. The Total War series is a good one and if one needs or yearns to play a classic grab this one ... and take over medieval Europe.Lire l'avis complet...

Total War is a Hit, get it and expand your Empire

I Loved this game and owned other versions and needed to find something I could afford to get to my little cousin for Christmas to get him mind thinking about something historical and adventurous and not stupid unimportant like what hair color Britney spears is or the shoes Justin Timberland is wearing. In this product I owned before I bought, I Liked how you could construct your own kingdom and manage taxes rulers etc. But disliked in the main game how I was only capable to have a few countries and not all because I really wish I had the ability to grow and Run Poland, but I was not. Now I could used polish troops and cavalry it Multi-player to that was great. Excellent game to use your time playing to expand your mind and can get you captivated to the point it controls your life so you can play this game Just don't go far. Medieval total war

Great game to learn strategy for running an empire. Much more than just the arcade style battle sequences. Learn to develop, plan and anticpate problems of building your kingdom while trying to either get along with or defeat other kingdoms. Great way to learn Medieval History. Many different and unique countries are at your command. Never runs out of variety of play. For better graphics and a different time period also play Rome total war. Game is excellent, one of my favorites

I bought this to replace one that I had lost over the years when I upgraded my PC. It is a continuation of the "Total War" series, and one of my favorites.

medieval: total war

a time honor game, it's one of my top ten favorite pc games. you can control one of several powers. you can expand through conquest and have battles involing many thousands of troops. the graphica is pretty good.you can also play a power that starts with a couple of territorys, for a challenge.Lire l'avis complet...

Good Vintage Game

I was looking for a game for my laptop that didn't have a lot of hardware requirements. I currently own Rome Total War and am a fan of that style of turn-based play with real-time battle sequences. The graphics are a little clunky so I wouldn't recommend this game to someone with a newer PC, but if you're looking for a fun game for an older system, this is it.Lire l'avis complet...
