This is a great kit for a common problem. I used to work on maytag appliances. I've made this type repair to many customers washers. This kit has every part need to repair both styles of wash baskets. The included instructions are complete and simple to follow. Works, but with a caviat...

I purchased this set to repair my Maytag Neptune.
The shipping was great. No instructions were included, but there are plenty of videos online, so not a big deal.

The problem arose about two weeks after the bearings were replaced. The washer began making a thumping when washing, and the roar of bearing failure was back during the spin cycle.

I will have to spend a weekend tearing the washer down again, and replace the bearings again.

I will with hold judgement until I get the bearings out to see if one or both have failed.Lire l'avis complet...

Got rid of the noisy machine!

Just what I needed to fix my Maytag. Total R & R was 7 hours including cleaning all of the mess inside the machine and drum. It had been making noice for a long time. The inboard bearing had started to stick to the shaft. It was a real chore to get the drum out and so was getting the ring off the spinner shaft. Bearings came out hard. Nothing my BFH couldn’t handle.
Put everything back together and she is nice and quite again. The originals lasted 17 years. Let’s see if she will run another 17. Lire l'avis complet...

Neptune bearings

These are much cheaper than a known quality brand. What can I say, they work. No more knocking from my washer, chewing up the tub and throwing the belt off. Kit comes with both old and updated style seals- a plus if you have yet to dismantle your machine.Lire l'avis complet...

It would have been great it the early seal was the correct outside diameter. It would have gotten 5 stars if it fitted correctly.

From the entire kit I only needed the early stile seal. Shipping of the kit was fast, no relays.

I had to use the early stile seal in my washer. It fitted loose in the washer, no compression at all. The outside diameter was too small. Too make it fit I had to put RTV adhesive/sealant around the outside diameter of the seal, then put it into the washer.

So far after 6 washes I have no leaks, hoping it will continue to seal.

Missing

Ok bearings look good but the kit comes with two seals and sleaves. Before i bought this kit i had to 👌 ow if the bearing in the tub would come out. I have seen these bearing corroded and the outter race of the bearing seize to the outer tub. Which you would need a new tub. 1000 usd.. So this kit has no instructions. Also missing the line up piece for the tube between the bearings so it will be centered when you finish putting in the bearings so the spindle to the inner tub will not hit tube.Lire l'avis complet...

Overall great

All parts were well wrapped and even 2 versions of seals were in the Box.

The only recommendation would be to upgrade the instruction document. Harx to view and understand. I had to find instructions on the WebLire l'avis complet...

as good as the original parts. 5 years seems to be about average

seems to be as good as OEM . All parts fit with no problems. Its been a few months of normal use and all is well. Too bad modern day laundry machines do not last like they used to. Mothers Maytags lasted 20 years with no problems.Lire l'avis complet...

I have in the past repaired my Neptune Dryer twice by using a YouTube instructional with ease. Last month it was finally the washers turn when the bearings gave out. I know the washer seems to be a bit more complex to repair but with the correct parts you can accomplish anything -Washers running like a charm again.
