Paid once, I don't want to pay more for content

I was excited to get the game, but it quickly turned to frustration. There is only two courses open to play. If you want more, you have to pay. There's only so many times you can play the same course over and over hoping to unlock another, before you give up.
Another reason I'm upset, if you want to play two players, you need to have two copies of the same crappy game. Why offer "download play" if half the games don't support it. Mario Golf is a fun two player game. Another game in the same ballpark, that is a must two player game, is Super Smash Bros. that also, you need two or more copy's to play multi player. Awesome game and great deal!!!

For a used game it was in great shape. Game didn't recognize at first on my 3DS but a quick cleaning of the leads (which needs to be done from time to time) did the trick and it works perfectly!

Best Mario golf to date

Love this one. Took a bit to figure out the Castle Club but great game. Lots of content. There is also an expansion pack that I haven’t checked out yet.

Fans of the Mario Golf will love this game

Mario Golf: World Tour is a fantastic experience for anyone who enjoyed the Nintendo Gamecube installment, Mario Golf Toadstool Tour. Not only is there a whopping amount of content for the single player game (up to 9 courses without DLC), you can play other players head to head in vs or in a number of public tournaments via online play.

The control schemes are fairly easy to pick up if you're not used to them already, with or without the tutorial but in general, pressing the buttons seems to be more adequate. The only downside to this is that adjusting impact point on the ball to manipulate its curve becomes inaccessible but I manage fine without that technique anyway.

The complexities of golf are captured well in this title as they are in every Mario Golf game: not only are players competing for the lowest score, they must be conscious of a number of variables from shot timing, distance gauging, slope anticipation, weather impact, course obstacles, etc. Camelot introduced items to this game as well so have fun with those. That being said, Mario Golf is still a very easy title to pick up and play just like its predecessor.

The game looks much more refined then it's Gamecube sibling and the soundtrack compliments this game quite nicely. I would say some of the personality behind characters was sacrificed from Toadstool Tour, especially with a semi-focus on the Mii character, however, the gameplay is still the core fun of the experience and equally rewarding as you have to unlock all the new courses through the Castle Club "Mii-venture" and course challenges; the latter is also the method to unlock "Star Characters" for each of the primary roster, versions that can drive the ball further at the cost of a range of comfort for hitting the ball.

Players can join tournaments or create their own but are limited to the maps which they have access to. Even without the DLC, I have found a variety of tournaments available to choose from and all from players around the world. You can opt to participate in the awards ceremony and determine your ranking next to everyone else who participated from which point you are awarded coins which will accrue indefinitely to no avail.

My favorite part about the multiplayer is that the player can see the shots taken by other Miis as they're playing and in versus mode, the player can make gestures or gesture toward other players when they watch them take their shots - I got a chip in shot once and was quickly applauded by my competition. However, don't expect to find a match with 4 players too readily, which is the most enjoyable way to play versus. I think playing 1 v. 1 with a friend would be fun as well but primarily if you were playing in each other's physical presence.

I really enjoyed the single player and multi-player experience in Toadstool Tour and after much anticipation have been completely satisfied by both the single and multiplayer in Mario Golf World Tour too. It might seem a bit gimmicky with the coin-collecting aspect or addition of items and the Mii Castle Club, but World Tour adheres quite strictly to the formula that made Toadstool Tour so enjoyable and expertly applies it to the newly added content. I don't think it's worth buying a 3DS console over, but if you have one already, it's definitely a game worth having for its relaxed yet competitive nature.Lire l'avis complet...
