Great tool BUT it jambs frequently

I like this tool a lot. It fills a slot in my projects that my other auto nailers and staplers don't. When it is not jammed it's marvelous.
Makita includes an allen wrench as part of the nailer with its own holder so it is always with the tool. I've tried nailing in different ways and no position seems to make a difference and jamming occurs for no apparent reason.
I like the tool so much that I'm keeping it and giving it a 4 rating and even recommending it to others as long as they have the patience to fix the jambs. They are very easy to remedy because of the way it was built -two screws to loosen with the attached wrench and the plate comes off and jump usually falls out. Once I had to stick a razor blade into the slot and the twisted nail came out in the shape of a tiny pretzel.Lire l'avis complet...

18v makita pin nailer

The tool is convenient, however it doesn't quite seem to set the pins. It would be nice if it would drive slightly deeper.

Pin nailer

A little disappointed in the power does not set the nails any where near as deep as the air powerd pin nailer other than that it's compact and easy to use ok for hardwoods 1/4" and less thicker than that it does not have the power even with a 3amp battery.Lire l'avis complet...

Gun with little power

Does not drive pins well you must push the gun super hard to the surface in order to set the pins and the longer the pin the worse it is thus marring the wood. Makita can do better than this...

Finding the right nails

Need to find the right nails which I haven't done yet can't go to Home Depot the glue on the nails is too much gun won't shoot keep bending the nail I imagine once I find all right now the gun will work properlyLire l'avis complet...

Makita Manufacturer must to improves this tool

Makita is very good brand, I have been waiting for this tool to facilitate my work as a carpenter but the problem is that this tool does not work well in solid hard wood, all the nails are left out, I hope the manufacturer improves this tool , I think it lacks a little more pressure for the nailing.Lire l'avis complet...

Powerless

Doesn't sink 1 3/16 pin every time. I don't feel comfortable using it on high end jobs.

This pin nailer is exellent and a smaller gage is ideal for oak finishings
