If you currently own the batteries then this is a very good option for your grass edging. It is no good for cutting large open areas, the cord extension is simply not long enough and the machine does not have enough grunt. It is best to manually extend the cord by pushing the button and pulling the cord than bumping the head on the ground. Bumping the button is fine with large commercial strimmers.
