Biography by his nephew
Gave me a lot of insight into the erroneous accounts of Clifts life. Its unfortunate that several people just tried to sensationalize rather than delve into the complicated and intelligent person he was. Painting people in a bad, light sells more books and stays in line with many straight peoples bigoted and narrow views of people not like them. He worked in a homophobic culture that drove him into a bad place the last years of his life and I think John Huston treated him badly in his last film and outright lied to destroy Clift’s career.
