magnetizer is good, demagnetizer sucks
I bought this primairly for the demagnetize function. It SUCKS as a demagnetizer! Although it DOES reduce the magnetic properties of my tweezers (I use them for SMALL RC screws, bolts, &/or nuts) it DOESN'T completely eliminate it. I left the tweezers in the demag side overnight. After that I tested them out. The maagnetic ability was severely reduced, but not enough. It STILL held small screws, & bolts. I replaced it into the demag side & left it there a week. At the end of the week, I tried the test again. Still it holds onto the smallest bolts, & screws. Thinking perhaps I should have rested the tool on top of the demag , rather then inside, I left it again for a week, resting atop the demag side. STILL it holds the smallest of screws & bolts. When I say small, I'm talking about the smallest of small screws that go on my RC helicopter.Lire l'avis complet...

Doesn't seem to work very well.
Although a small screwdriver can be VERY MINIMALLY magnetized, I was only able to pick-up the tiniest of screws. I saw no 'demag' function of the tool at all, that is, it didn't seem to DE-magnify. This item has no instructions on the proper usage. Just the item in a bubble pack. I wasn't sure how long to leave the tool exposed, whether to pass it thru the magnifier or exactly how to use it. It didn't seem to matter whether I 'magnetized' for 1 minute or 1 hour. The result was still a very weak mag field. Maybe I'm expecting too much from this gizmo.Lire l'avis complet...

Work great on my tools that needed to be magnetized. Had to leave in the tool longer to get a stronger magnet but works for what i need.

As good as it gets!
Have had magnitizers in the past. This is as good as a small one gets, and the fact that it has the demagnitizer onboard is a bonus. Great product.

OK for things like screw drivers
Works well for making things like screw drivers. Though its not the same principle as an AC demagnetizer.
