Great high capacity ice maker
My wife wanted a new refrigerator and has always purchased refrigerators with an ice maker in the freezer department. The new refrigerator that she chose did not come with an icemaker, but it was an add on. Since ice makers in freezers usually don't last long and take up a lot of space, we chose to get a counter top portable ice maker. We chose the Magic Chef because it makes ice in as little as 7 minutes and can make 27 lbs. in a day. The magic chef is about the same cost as an icemaker in a freezer, takes up very little space, makes ice quicker, and is very lightweight. Been running constantly since I got it a week ago. No problems. Operates as advertised. I don't know as it will actually make 27 lbs of ice per day though.

Awesome Ice maker!!
We purchased this ice maker because we got tired of buying ice every few days. This ice maker makes great tasting ice and it makes it in no time. The only down fall is that it doesn't hold all the made ice, you have to empty it, so it keeps making ice. We got a plastic container to put the excess ice in the freezer, problem solved. Great product for the price
It delivers all the ice I need. It is compact and easy to move. I can hear the ice drop but aside from that it is relatively quiet.

Great, but...
Makes ice very quickly. Like most small appliance ice makers, the ice eventually melts. Manufacturer needs to modify product to keep ice frozen. Great for my home bar when I need ice.
