Easy to use, but very thick, and not as sticky as I would've liked. I needed to reinforce with hot glue in some places for extra stickiness.
This stuff works really well. The surface really needs to be immaculate before you put it on or it simply won't stick. I had a tiny bit of residue and when I placed this on it a bump appeared. Since it's impossible to have a truly immaculate caulk surface, my suggestion is to reinforce this in relevant parts using hot glue! Yes, this works. It looks so neat. This particular size is very thick, really only suitable for the bottom edge of the bath or perhaps underneath baseboards which have a gap. The product doesn't go far. 5 foot is nothing is you're replacing caulk around an entire bath. So, if you're happy to pay $50 to $100 per room you caulk, and reinforce certain areas with hot glue, this is the product for you. After buying this one five foot length and trying it in my kitchen it was much too thick. For more subtle areas you need to find a thinner version of probably half this thickness. There are some areas in the house that will simply do better with standard caulk, your finger, and a clean damp cloth. For example, this wouldn't do well around the edging of a toilet or sink. Standard caulk will get into all the crevices easier. I thought caulk was impossible, but standard caulk is fine as long as you have a damp cloth along for the ride. I tried taping the area, but I have found my best caulking method to be simply doing little dots or beads, smoothing it with my finger, and then wiping the messy looking bits. It doesn't look perfect, but it's neat enough to be satisfied with. Still, this product is great for a quick job. Again, this thickness is only for the bottom of the bath or underneath baseboards. It's even too thick for the bath edges inside the bath, so I would recommend a thinner version for most caulking projects.Lire l'avis complet...
