There is a number of Lucky Luke Albums. All as good as each other! In this book you will there is an undeclared war between the cattle breeders and the farmers. The breeders have been kings of the Prairie for years but the famers think that they should be able to share the land especially since they have bought their own farms from the government. The Breeders disagree and are prepared to enforce their ownership and control of the land by force if necessary. The farmers form a group to fight for their freedom. The farmers decide to enclose their lands with barbed wire to stop the cattle from feeding on their property. In this part of the country barbed wire is considered a personnel insult by the herders and Cass Casey the local Cattle king sends for fellow cattle men and their hired gunmen.
