Nice keyboard with no support for Logitech's Universal USB
For all the very solid products that Logitech delivers, this one is only close to the higher bar. You might think that all of the products they have today would support the universal USB, but they don't. So a space saving, multi device keyboard that does not support universal USB Bluetooth is the manifestation of a conflicted brand statement. Logitech K480
Fits my need to give me keyboard gestures for my iPad, and not be a third keyboard on my desk that I have to switch between for workflow. Now I can just use this as the primary, and one other for creating additional shortcuts. Can't really speak for how well made the keyboard is as I haven't had it for more than a week, but I'm pretty abusive to keyboards going through their key cycles in 6-8 months before having to replace them so if it lasts that long I'll be happy with it. It is rather heavy for a plastic frame I will say that, and isn't too far off from being the same key spacing as a tkl keyboard about 3mm. This does make going back and forth from a standard keyboard to this a little annoying to type on as you occasionally find your fingers on the wrong key due to spacing. The only issue I have experienced so far is that when you switch devices sometimes the pairing seems to be sluggish or incomplete and the keys do not register properly. Example of this would be pressing the D key, and it opening to a windows settings page. I think this issue is likely rooted in the quick swap between Apple IOS and Windows OS causing some kind of error where no matter what key(s) you are pressing it treats it as a shortcut for this. Great for a desktop laptop setup!
I think that is difficult to tell from the pictures and description is that this is a substantial, heavy keyboard. It seems it is intended for desk use for heavy typing as the keyboard is very nice, with full key travel. But, it is not something you will be throwing your briefcase or backpack to carry around. Durable, long battery life. Keyboard shortcuts are perfect
Bought one for my tablet last year. It arches the tablet so you can use it to watch movies. The built in keyboard in the tablet was not very condusive to typing long emails. Such a nice keyboard I recommended it to someone in the first 24 hours of having it
This is a great little portable keyboard, which in a pinch could work with a desktop setup. configuing the keyboard with devices goes smoothly and I have mine paired with iOS, Android and Wndows devices.
Physically, this keyboard might come off as being a bit bulky comapred to some of the keyboards on the market, but the keys are solid and have the feel of a normal chicket style keyboard.
