The Monster at The End of This Book & Another Monster At The End..

My eldest son loved the 1st one of these. He wanted it read over and over. It's best of course to read it with a a Grover tone of voice or and change of voice, silliness abounds of course but kids love this book and the 2nd one with Grover and Elmo. My eldest son who is on his 30's eventually memorized it. I'm giving both of them found here on eBay together as original Golden Books to his son. I'm sure my Grandson will love these books. A plus is he has an older sister and I'll write them both when I send these to my Grandson their Daddy loved the 1st book until he had it memorized and make sure you use your Grover and Elmo voices. A Classic all children should have in my opinion. Children are growing up way to fast. The monsters they see now are true evil, the Sesame Street monster in this book, the writing won't scare, isn't vile filth, and is funny stuff for adult kids too.Lire l'avis complet...

A Book With Monster Appeal

I was an elementary school teacher for 23 years and this book was always a class favorite. After I retired, I substituted for a while and read the book to a class of bored sixth graders. They liked it so much they agreed to do a tedious math assignment if I would read it again. The book's language is simple enough for the very young to understand yet the humor appeals to all ages. Grover's unfounded fear of "the monster at the end of this book" touches a universal nerve in all of us. A MUST HAVE BOOK ~ IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN

This book was a childhood favorite of mine, which became a favorite of my own children and now, I will be introducing it to my grandchildren. A terribly adorable and fun book starring Grover. Whom begs for you not to continue turning the pages of the book, and building elaborate obstacles to prevent the pages from being turned. Only to discover at the end of the book, is lovable furry old Grover himself, the Monster at the end of the book... My children adored this book, especially when I used my "special hysterical monster reading voice" . Best kids book ever

I had the original 1971 book of it . Guess it's packed away. Bought it for my youngest daughter 34 . Bought it for my First Grandson now waiting for my great grand kids to come along to read to them. Granddaughter's Favorite!

my husband introduced this book to our granddaughter and read it to her for the first time. She was so excited because she couldn't wait to get to the end of the book and find out who the monster was. Favorite childhood book

This was my favorite book as a child, and I love watching my 4-yr-old daughter get just as much enjoyment as I did! Since we bought it for her, it is the first book that she requests when we read together...then she'll sit and read it to herself over and over!

This is a classic book for all ages with a great message: Don't be afraid to face your fears. This would even be a fabulous book to read to adults as part of a motivational speech! The anticipation builds during the whole book and the surprise ending is satisfying.
