A "single" that has the best of the RIDE sound.

RIDE had a different sound, sometimes a bit hard to classify, and the "single" CD Leave Them All Behind was able to make it onto the UK top ten single charts in 1992-- barely, and mostly due to having the better short version of the title song, Leave Them All Behind, and the song Grasshopper.

This CD is worth buying just for the short version of Leave Them All Behind. RIDE had issues with their work, was sometimes self indulgent, but had a different sound than other bands. Most of the songs were released in both short and long versions, the short versions being better. Listen to the opening twenty or thirty seconds and you can hear real promise, but suffering through some of the long versions helps you understand why they are not as well known as other bands of the same era, which is why this single is worth buying.Lire l'avis complet...
