Good Film for vintage film lovers
Its old, its dated, but I love it....has the classic film noir murder mystery feel with a disturbing, and rather sad twist

Bizarre & Fascinating
Ellen (Ida Lupino) is a live-in housekeeper with two mentally ill sisters. When her employer, Miss Fisk, wants to send the sisters to a mental hospital, Ellen murders her. Ellen tells everyone Miss Fisk has gone on a trip. Now the three sisters have a permanent place to live, and nothing can go wrong --- or can it? This bizarre scenario succeeds because it's packed with star power. Lupino, especially, gains the audience's sympathy despite the cold-blooded way she dispatches her benefactress. In her later years, Ida Lupino became famous for playing hardboiled characters in women's prison films. If that's your impression of Lupino, seeing her here as a beautiful, vulnerable young lady driven to commit a brutal act will show you the range of this talented actress. Lire l'avis complet...

Great Old Time Melodrama!
Great melodrama with sparkling cast! I can recommend this across the board -- Ida Lupino and Elsa Lanchester shine!
