Awesome card. I am using one splitter cords to serve 4 drives. I plan to add a second splitter cord so I can expand to 8 drives. I get all the speed from my shucked 8tb wd easy stores can provide. Picked up 2, have had zero issues
Originally bought one which i was using without issue and when i finally ran out of connections i picked up a second and with both installed i've got enough ports for my needs in this case. Solid, stable performer.

Dead after two weeks of use
Shortly after deploying the card in a home NAS solution with 4 x 8TB WD Red Pro drives, the card stopped working. I managed to setup RAID 1, install Arch Linux and setup FTP. Product works plug and play with freenas core and I saw clear performance improvements with WD Red 6TB disks versus using on board sata controller from z77 chipset with 2600k. TRUENAS works Fantastically with this expansion Card.
Wonderful, now have 8 more SATA ports for Drives on my TRUENAS server. Works great, Cables are a bit long for internal drives, but I can live with that.

Works great with Truenas
This products works great with TrueNAS Core. I had to cover pin b5 and b6 on bus connector to retrieve all of the memory of my server. This problems is describe on YouTube Art of Server channel.

Good card for a good price. Everything is working as it should. It was in IT mode upon arrival. Just make sure that the SAS controller clicks in and the drives get detected without any issue.

Great solution for storage expansion
The card worked well out of the box, was flashed to IT mode so no hassle of flashing firmware. I am using it in a TrueNAS SCALE installation. Works just as advertised. I also used it to plug into a sas expander card so it goes from 8 ports to 16 ports.
