Good shredder slicer, but not great.

Easy to use, for what I paid it's a good value, I'm disappointed in it's design because it clogs when grating carrots, potatoes, and other veggies and fruit. I need to stop the machine, clear the clogs and then start up again. Very useful device

I ordered this because I had several Zuchinni to grind so I could freeze for Zuchinni bread. It was quick and easy and clean up a snap. Thinking of ordering more attachments for my kitchen aid mixer.

Fantastic mixer and fun to use

Why do I love this mixer? It fits nicely on my kitchen counter. All the parts from my current Kitchenaid Mixer fit the compact model (except the mixing bowl). The tilt head is easy to lift and lower. That's a great feature when you want to scrape the bowl or add extra ingredients. The tilt feature makes it easy to change paddles and wisks. blades not sharp enough

The general design is good, but the blades aren't sharp enough to cut through vegetables except very firm ones such as carrots. Zucchini came out rather mushy. I'm going to try to have the blades sharped at a hardware store that sharpens chainsaw blades and hope for a better result. Not worth the space

The tube is so narrow that you have to chop foods very thinly so that it will fit. Vegetables get stuck in the tube and stuck in the cylinder that food is supposed to come out of. The plunger is made of hard clear plastic that is brittle. Mine cracked the first time I used it. Most annoying is that the plunger has to be inserted with slots aligning. The slicer and grater blades make the food too fine. The blades are not sharp enough to cut quickly and cleanly. I made grated cabbage and carrots for cole slaw. A mandolin makes much nicer-looking slaw in the same amount of time. Cheese would also get stuck in the grating cylinder. I would not buy this again. Lire l'avis complet...

Not for me

I returned the product. Slicer: I tried carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, and celery and they all came out like super thin mush. Grater: worked great with cheese however timely to clean. The blades insert into the attachment and the instructions say to flip the switch and pull out the blade. I had to spoon to extract the blade Enough to be able to use my fingers to pull it out all the way. Is this just a hassle attachment. slicer/shredder

I have a food processor and the holes in the attachments:
One is too small and the other too large, this ones holes fall right in between and are perfect in size for making relish, the size of carrot straws you can buy. Also being able to utilize something I already have is a plus.Lire l'avis complet...

Great Attachment.

I really enjoyed using my KitchenAid KSMVSA Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder Attachment. I have used it twice so far. I grated cheese and zucchini. I love the simplicity of the attachment to my mixer. The grated pieces were nicely done. I am trying potatoes tonight!

Works great

So far so good . I mainly use it to shred potatoes for home fries. If you are going to use it for home fries peel and slice them to fit hopper but put in freezer for 20 minutes and use large shredder then place on trays with parchment paper and flash freeze them after shredding for 30 minutes then put in a ziplock bag for freezer storage .Lire l'avis complet...
