I'm a long time fan, but never got around to reading Gene's books. This one is written very simply. Gene's memories about childhood in some aspects is awesome. All in all, it was a good read...managed it in about two days. The only reason I rated it down was the constant bashing of Ace and Peter. At least once in every chapter there was an issue with one or the other of them. I would have preferred Gene stick with Gene...make a statement and be done with it. I'm not saying Ace and Peter don't deserve it, but we didn't need all the gory details. I would have like to hear more about life on the road, and more personal details and memories. No Gone With The Wind, but a good read all in all. Got it for a great price in good condition. Would have been a bit disappointed to have paid full price.Lire l'avis complet...

Gene is outspoken....and loves himself and money. He has a awesome sense of humor. He has awesome memory recall. See, don't be a drinker or smoker !! Gene can be blunt. His sex stories move super quick, as if a hamburger drive-thru. Ace and Pete get their fair share of punches. Paul is an angel....oooohhhhh boy.....talk about religious favor. Oh yeah, Gene is an angel too in all this. A hard working, from poverty Isreal, to New York dumbfoundednesss. Cute Gene. He writes quite good, but it's very biased. Now, He was born in Jewish, He was very, very, very poorest boy in the world, His mom was also broke it, No shopping, They're all poorest house too, When winter came in, He was very freeze it, His mom was make a clothes from blanket for him, He was bad experience life. He was raises to teenager, He was in the high school, also he was met with his friends of Paul and other teams, They're wanted to practices a singer for Heavy metal rocker, Later of years, They're still together and they're working harder, harder, harder, harder, they're never been gave it up, they're wanted to goal of become successfully a heavy metal rockers, Now, they're meeting for about of their singer calling it, they decided to called them a "KIZZ" and He wanted a costume with black metal and make it up for their faces it. After of their graduated from High School, They're begins a singers with a KIZZ, They make them a successfully it. They're worker harder, harder, harder for their money is neediest it. Now, They are moved to California, He was not have any wife and girlfriends because of they never have times, But He has a slept with 5,000 womanizer. He was met with his new girlfriend from the Playboy, He told her that he was never getting a married because of it was not working and budget money, He always refused it because of he was too afraid it. His girlfriend have a accepted with him for their life. and They're still together it but never MARRIED it. He was bought it for his first timer home in the Beverly Hills, He will never moving to another house, He wanted to stays it because of his own hometown where he was bought it. Also He was finally have his two kids was growing up, They're always family together it. He was good KIZZ dad, He was never a drugs, alcoholic, abuser, dirty money, other else. He needed to saves his money for their kids or their futures plans..
Now, His KIZZ careers will be still continues to running on are forever ever,

Amazing Read, I love Gene

Interesting reading, so I understand many more things about the hottest band in the world and the devil ecutes blood, shipped in 10 days 100/10

Gene Simmons tells his story from start to finish

A Pretty Good read, although I was hoping it would be longer. It is the shortest of the 4 autobiographies and goes on a little bit too much about his youth and not enough stuff about Kiss as I had hoped, but overall it is worth buying and reading, but If I had to choose between the 4 of them I would choose Ace's "No Regrets" and Paul Stanley's "Face the Music" over this one.The Pictures are priceless and Gene does add insight into this life of the band in the early years.Lire l'avis complet...

Kiss and makeup

An excellent read and very interesting insight into Gene "the Demon" and the start of his humble beginnings and his rise to super fame in KISS. Open and honest, he tells his story in a very easy to understand style for anyone.
