Kirby's Dream Land (Nintendo Game Boy, 1992)

A Great Classic Game

This game shows that great gameplay makes a game timeless. Sure, it pales graphically in comparison to today's games- you'd expect that from a twenty-plus year-old game for a black-and-white (or black-and-green as it were) handheld system but it still plays great.

It's a quick and short game designed to be completed in one sitting. It also lacks the ability copy system that the Kirby series has become known for (that wouldn't be introduced until the second game in the series). The controls are tight and the difficult ramp is consistent throughout.

Classic Platformer with timeless music and atmosphere, fun challenging enemy's & bosses, only bested by its sequel, one of the best games for the GB.

Very very good Kirb. He is so round and so lovable. Kirby’s debut. No tutorial, but not needed, straight to the point gameplay. Don’t know the plot and don’t care. Kirby best boy, 10/10
