I harvested my first Buffalo this year. Got the book 2 weeks earlier, tried the Buffalo Loin with Morels. Great Meal. That weekend we had the Coca-Cola Stew and Shemane is right, It is Absolutely AWESOME. Mrs. Shemane Nugent said " This is absolutely my favorite dish." We know why now. The Bubble Bean Piranha a la Colorado Moose with Buffalo instead of Moose is my favorite bar nun! "The Whackmaster first experimented with this as early as 1968, and as primary mainstay at the Nugent Whackmaster Headquarters."
I would like to see more recipes from the Whackmaster and his wife in the book.
I love the stories and insights of everyone in the book.
Easy reading, easy to understand when or if you've listened to the Nuge. I highly recommend you do both, and check out the book, and his web site at http://www.tednugent.com/
You owe it to yourself and your country to do the right thing, the WILD thing.

Wild game cookbook

This is a cookbook that I have heard about for years. I have other wild game cookbooks and just never got into buying this one. I should have known better since anything that Ted Nugent either writes or prepares is soulful stuff.

Many of the recipes that are in this book are easy to prepare. Many of the seasoning blends are everyday spices that can be purchased anywhere. Growing up we used to hunt squirrels and just cook them over a fire. Ted's book has a great recipe for these little guys that I can't wait to try.

A delightful piece of entertainment sprinkled with good recipes for a variety of wild game. No-nonsense, facts-of-life commentary (with humor) about the whys of hunting might offend PETA people... but it is true to my own experiences growing up. Ilook forward to a sequel in order to get more recipes than this limited publication presents. Kill It and Grill It

Ted Nugent has such a personna. He's able to deliver his message in a fashion that defies modern liberalism. If I were offered an opportunity to debate Mr. Nugent, I would honorably decline (partly because we have nothing to debate). He is an american hero at the source of patriotism.

AND, the recipes in his excellent book are absolutely delicious. Godspeed Mr. Nugent.

Bear, Buffalo, Quail, Pheasant, Fish.... whatever! This was a gift for my brother-in-law, and he spent most of Christmas with his face stuck in it...laughing.
