Great Party Game, and still fun for single player.
This is a game I would strongly recomend for anyone looking for a game that can keep the attention of a small group of friends (up to 8 I believe). The game is fairly simple, pick a song you wish to sing (Next to Volume 1, Party in my opinion has the best song selection from mainstream artist Like Hilary Duff and Jimmy Eat World to older artists people love to Karaoke like Aha, and Billy Joel), and sing it, your score depends on how well you keep up with the song (you don't need to be a singer to play well, I'm living proof of that). Up to 8 players can have a competition singing. Theirs a bit more to it then singing, Their are 3 minigames that use your voice. Also for those Dance Dance Revolution fans, their is a singing and dancing mode where you sing while dancing on the DDR Pad. I dont own a DDR Pad so i'm not sure how that game play is, but i can also say the game is still tons of fun without it. Playing well on the songs unlocks more songs (approx 4 unlockable songs i believe), and items to further customize your character (you chose a character to sing in the background, not that it matters much for you will most likely be paying attention to lyrics and how must you sing). Overall, the game is great for Karaoke fans, still good for a party, and moderately good playing by yourself. The only person i wouldn t recomend this to would be those who arent comfortable singing around others and what not, for thats the main part of the game, singing. Also if your not really into Karaoke i would recomend a try (like a rental) before you buy.

My main gripe is that a good portion of the songs are things I've never heard of. Seems as unless I watch american idol, or care what the 'disney-esque' stars do, I'm doomed to oldies.
Also, some of these songs REALLY just aren't good "singalongs"

5, 7, 10 (just go "uh oh" 500 times, and you'll get a perfect score), 19, 31, 43 [can someone tell me who "fantasia" is? , & 44.
Other cases, there were good songs, but those artists have MUCH better "singable" songs
(jimmy eat world, billy joel, to name a few)
The gameplay is great. Between the arcade modes, integration of DDR (although it would be nice if one of the challenges wasnt DDR+SINGING @ expert mode) 8 footing + singing a song is HARD. Good character customization, multiplayer (real multiplayer) support is awfully nice, too.. the * items have to be unlocked.
I've mastered a couple of the songs at medium and expert. (50k on drive) the implementation of the eyetoy for character head generation is nice too.

Great Game, unfortunately Lyrics are not included in the booklet, however still so fun to sing along too and invite friends over. One thing I wish they would do though is make the whole Game New Songs. I've noticed though that during the holidays are when they come out with the new ones (now that's Smart Marketing) so hopefully they will be implementing it from now on. I would have to say that the younger people are usually the ones buying the game so it should be more current Top 40 Songs (now that would be Even Smarter Marketing), But Hey It's Just My .02.
Also This has the ALL-NEW Sing and Dance mode (supports DDR Dance Pad which is sold separatly), Now that makes it even more challenging, singing and dancing, but soooo fun!
And you can Create a 3D Model of your head and see yourself perform on stage using the EYETOY USB Camera!
And of course as usual you can customize your characters head, body shape, clothes and accessories!

Pretty entertaining!!
I really liked the 1st Karaoke revolution alot, I bought this one and it does have alot of songs, but it seems like they are mostly older songs, don't get me wrong there are definitely some good songs on here but some wierd ones too like that song that plays in the movie "Lady & The Tramp" when they are sharing the spaghetti...what's that all about? Although my sister & 14 yr old niece seem to like that one alot. Anyways there are alot of cool characters and clothes etc. So I am glaf that I bought this, it has already provided many hours of entertainment. Sing Until Your Heart's Content
I originally bought this game for my father-in-law, but had so much fun playing it at Christmas that I had to purchase a copy for myself.
When I bought it, Karaoke Revolution Party Bundle was the latest in the line of Konami's products. (The Country version is now available.) The bundle comes with a microphone that works well. It's a regular usb microphone -- I imagine any usb mike could work with the game.
The concept of the game is simple: outsing your opponent or sing alone to unlock cool prizes. The song mix is a nice variety -- there's a bit of something for everyone with songs from Madonna to Tony Bennett.
Users can hook up their dance mats for sing and dance mode (DDR meets Karaoke), which looks like fun, but requires more coordination than I possess. In addition to the competitive mode, users can set the game up in party mode, as well as full-screen karaoke mode. The only negative about full-screen mode is that you can't change the background.
The many different game modes provide a myriad of choices -- I haven't even played everything yet.
The number of choices is a strength of the game. Users unlock new characters, songs, and costumes by scoring well within the songs. I even enjoy creating and dressing my characters. My favorite costume that I've unlocked is a giant cat suit. The game's sense of humor is slyly funny.

Another excellent Karaoke Revolution game!
We bought this game for our daughter for her birthday a couple of months ago. Since then, we've bought the other four volumes of Karaoke Revolution and my kids, nieces, brothers, in-laws and others have spend endless hours playing and singing away. In short, there is just a great variety of songs that will appeal to just about everyone in one way or another. The ability to sing duets or to "compete" by singing head to head, along with all the other numerous modes and mini-games and the ability to create your own character make this game an absolute joy. You just can't help but have fun playing this, even if you're not a singer (like me)! Well worth the price and then some!!Lire l'avis complet...

Awesome game! I would definetly play it again and recommended it to anyone who likes to sing or dance! It is very easy to play. The characters are fun. You can really make a character look like you or make them crazy and unique. The songs choice is great. It is fun to unlock other songs. It is fun to play by yourself or play with a group at a "party". You can really be competetive or just relaxed. You really feel like your competing, even if your not in real life. Very Fun Game
My daughters and I bought Karaoke Revolution Party to play on our Playstation 2. We had previously purchased Karaoke Revolution 1, 2, and 3 on Ebay, so we just had to have Karaoke Revolution Party to complete our set and addiction to this Karaoke game. We have had so much fun playing this game and so have our friends. You can choose from a wide variety of songs and avatars to entertain you. Karaoke Revolution Party
I love to sing and this is great for serious and fun singers alike. Different modes let you decide if you want to be judged on actually hitting the notes (it shows if you're flat, sharp or on pitch) There is also the party mode where it doesn't matter how you sing you won't get booed off by this crowd!
