Joe Satriani hobbled buy bad producer and wrong musicians

This is the second worst album by Joe.Hired studio players who know nothing of this style of music.Mostly recorded live in studio,it is clear there is no clear vision of the songs and they come across as not thought through and certainly not rehearsed .The last couple of days are on a video called the Satch tapes.The producer is at fault here. Glyn Johns the famous producer picked the studio guys and gave them directions . Also ,the mix is bad, low fidelity abounds and is the same track to track.The last track is best,Sitten Round,Totally different sound and feel.A really great classic Joe song.This album is considered a disaster and he never did anything like it again.This is a must have anyway, because Joe is so listenable no matter what. Some would call this his blues album,I guess that is fairly accurate.Joe is not really a blues player.The worst album is engines of creation,this is not as bad as thatIn his new book,it is clear that people have told him about these two albums in particular because he will not talk about them.
