Amazing Musical. Amazing Value. Amazing Experience. Just Amazing!

Was a Gift for my mom who is a great fan of musicals.
The music takes a little getting used to - unless you're a fan of hip hop - but once you've watched it once it becomes hard to decide which one (Of the two jesus superstars) is better. In this version you have a scene with the pharisees that you will miss if you watch the modern version. Pilate is really believable both soft and strong, and the charachter who plays Jesus, i feel, is closer to the Bibles story of him bearing it all 'with dignity'.
Both myself and my mother would highly recommendLire l'avis complet...

Brilliant product, great value for the money!!

I bought this as my parents used to watch it when I was very young and I remembered the songs. That was about 20 years ago, watching it again almost brought a tear to my eye. The quality is excellent and nothing is lost on the dvd format (compared to the vhs).
this is one of my favourite Webber musicals and I feel it's been overshadowed by others, it also shows the 'history' of Jesuss' last days from a different perspective.Lire l'avis complet...

musical with new aspect

For any fan of the show, having seen it in a theatre, this dvd is a must see .
This production is set in open terrain in Israel. and really captures the essence of the true story, while still keeping true to the musical produstion of Andrew LLoyd Webber.
Described as "a dazzling interpretation" it can only be congratulations to all involved in the making of the dvd.
