A Must-See Television Series

An awesome 'What If' series. What if your country came under nuclear attack? Could you survive, and if so, how would life and society be as a result? 'Jericho' poses just such a question with this thoughtful and chillingly realistic series of survival and perseverance. The United States comes under nuclear attack, and Jericho, Kansas ends up witnessing the horrifying results. Losing all communication with the outside world, Jericho desperately tries to find help while keeping civil order. Nobody knows who to trust or where to turn.

This series has one of the most solid plot lines I've seen in many years, and a terrific cast of characters to back it up including veteran star, Gerald McRaney and Skeet Ulrich who give solid performances in their lead roles.

The series only lasted less than two seasons, but they were a very memorable two seasons, and they can be enjoyed with this reasonably priced box set including the full series, a bonus disc, and a previously unreleased episode. inexpensive recreation

in a time when action movies are so much can you top this. Jericho has a story line which is unique and could possibly occur under a disaster as such. The story moves quickly and many of the character can't be developed as a novel could. A tv series has got to immediately get your attention a week between shows. Clicker in hand it better. a show ahead of its time

this was an all-time favorite of mine. along with lost and the walking dead. but back to this show. all the characters are top notch, especially lennie james. i also praise ashley scott as emily sullivan. truthfully they were all great.. alot of different things happened in a short period of time and in my opinion the show really should have had a third season as they left many questions unanswered in the finale. i dont know if it was the writers strike or whether the govt stepped in. this was a well thought out and well written program that needed to be continued to tie up the connections that were never finalized. i hated to see it end the way it did but that is life. from what i understand this was done on a small budget but it was still a great and unforgettable series. i was hooked on it right away.Lire l'avis complet...

What's not to like?

After viewing a number of episodes on the SciFi channel, I decided to look for a complete DVD collection on eBay. After receiving the complete series, I watched all the episodes in the span of a few days. Where to start with a review...this series is compelling to say the least. You get drawn right into the story. I kept asking myself "would I act like that if thrust into a similar situation?" throughout many of the episodes. Great acting, great writing, great everything!

If this kind of TV series sounds at all interesting, it wouldn't hurt to purchase a DVD set. I think I paid around $55 including shipping for both seasons. Definately worth it! I really got a lot of viewing pleasure for my money.Lire l'avis complet...

Jericho ... a portend of our future?

This is a gripping drama for sure but the story line is more than perhaps meets the eye. It is strongly thought-provoking and should cause everyone to realize what thin ice society can be on under such great duress and disorientation. I love what CBS did with this series, and am left feeling there is more to the story to be told after season 2 ends, the family and moral aptitude of the characters and the way human nature and life in the aftermath of a war no one could have seen coming is beautifully crafted by the directors and actors is truly one of the clasics of television that I am very glad I could find the series for my continued enjoyment into my old age.
