Excellent Product

It was an exact fit to my old Dryer Kenmore model 66512690. Old motor part no. 3395652. I used it only two times so far and it is working excellent and running quiet. It came with the pluggable connecter to the old wiring harness. Only thing I noticed is this motor did not have a label to show its modelpart number, so if I need to replace it again I need to keep old motor part number safe. Thank You.Lire l'avis complet...

drop-in replacement, runs quiet, assembled in Mexico

a drop-in replacement if your dryer uses the narrower drive belt (ours did). Spindle length and mount points were compatible. Seems quieter than the old motor. Assembled in Mexico, origin of components not marked. Nice and tight bearings, but more epoxy slop on the outside and the mounting plastic ring was not wiggle-free like on the old. Better than I feared, not as nice as the 25 year old original it replaces. Not sure yet if it was worth the higher cost over a generic.Lire l'avis complet...

Great replacement item with minor caveats.

This was a replacement for a Kenmore series 90 dryer motor and it was 1/2 the cost of obtaining an OEM motor. It also arrived VERY fast, packed well, and performed perfectly with only two minor issues: 1) There are actually two Kenmore motors used that have slightly different shaft lengths (according to an appliance repairman friend). This motor had a longer shaft and the fan that mounts to the end struck the shroud cover making a racket. I solved the problem by gluing a small fireplace gasket ($2) into the groove on the cover, giving an additional 1/8" clearance and solving the problem. The other minor problem was that the original motor had terminals for the switch that stops the motor if the dryer drum belt breaks. The new motor has no provision for this, but the problem is easily solved by cutting the black main motor power lead and crimping new slide terminal ends on the wires, then sliding them onto the belt tensioner switch terminals (achieves the same results as the original wiring diagram shows). The dryer now works like new, the "fixes" took only $2-$3, a trip to Ace Hardware, and about 15 minutes to install them, so I am overall delighted with the purchase and would certainly recommend it. One added note: since I had not changed a dryer motor before, I watched a YouTube video on the process and saved myself a great deal of grief (like seeing how the motor fan is removed [reverse threaded, 1/2" ratchet fitting on front of fan]) Unless you have experience in the job, I STRONGLY recommend watching a video on the job.Lire l'avis complet...

Worked great but be prepared

This worked great but be prepared to put some work in to get it going. The spades are different sizes from the original so you have to cut wires and put smaller connectors on to make it work. I found this to be a bit inconvenient but not insurmountable. If you have never done this before you have to be careful that you use something that will pinch the wires to the connector. Not everyone has that tool but if you are careful you can probably get away with using a pliers of some sort. The instructions also did not show the reattachment of the ground wire but I figured it was the one on the face and connected it there.Lire l'avis complet...

Works great but also order a replacement blower fan!!!

Hardest part was removing blower fan, I would highly recommend just ordering a replacement blower fan if you are installing this new motor, that way it won't matter if the old one breaks (it's plastic and mine was stuck to the shaft), and you can get the job done the same day!Lire l'avis complet...

It come with Instructions you need for Older dryer motor replacement.

I bought this motor for a 1980's Kenmore Dryer that we do all the repairs to. I was very apprehensive about that fact that the way the wires hook-up on the New motor are different to the way they hook-up on the Old motor. The Old motor has a switch plate on the front with numbers on each terminal. So I was confused. looking, and looking at the pictures trying to understand how this wiring would work;
I bought the motor hoping all would work out, And it did! With Wire Cutters, Wire Stripper, and a Wire Terminal Crimper tool. You are supplied with two new terminals that you will need, And all the instructions to get the Motor wired!
The Newer style socket on the New motor does have numbered terminals. You carefully read the instructions a few times, and it makes perfect sense. Two Large terminals are replaces with the ones that come with the New motor.
You will be up and running in no time. :)

Great replacement fit in place well

Customers that are replacing an older model need to know that the solderless connectors on the wiring harness need to be changed to a smaller female spade connector. The harness has the larger type female spade and falls off the new motor connectons.Lire l'avis complet...

Perfect fit with plug in wiring connection

Brand new OEM replacement motor. No questions about fit, wiring connections or durability. Wiring plug fit directly on the new motor and it came with a new pulley. Easy to replace, but knowing it is OEM and not a foreign knock off, it should last another 20 years like the original. Very pleased with the construction and quality. Would recommend to a friend and pleased enough that I would buy again. Lire l'avis complet...

Perfect replacement for Kenmore 110

Kenmore Model Number: 110.77732791
This motor fit and works perfectly. The plug is an exact match. I did have to undo the two hold down clips and move it backwards a notch because it was making the fan scrape but that was just because when I put it down on the motor brackets I had it too far forward, was easy to fix. The motor works just as it should and hope to get many many years of service out of it.Lire l'avis complet...

Overall pleased..

Idler pulley squealed very loud after installation and the dryer was turned on. I will probably be putting the old one back in because it had some resistance and was smooth when I tried to spin it. The new idler pulley was very loose and seemed to have no lubrication. My assumption is that the idler pulley sat for too long maybe in a warehouse or something of that nature and lost its lubrication. I did take my dryer apart again to put grease on the new idler pulley but the grease seemed to only help for a bit. As of now it has started to squeal again. Maybe more quality control on these new idler pulleys. Only my opinion.. Thank YouLire l'avis complet...
