Strong, inexpensive reliable cpu, for upgrades on old boxes
This is a strong processor for the era. It performs well on almost all tasks under Win 7 and was designed for that era of computing. Cheap, easy to aquire, and not too power hungry, its a decent upgrade for an 1155 socket, when compared against others. Check out the Passmark and Userbenchmark when you need some extra brain for your aging desktop, but you'll see this one can extend the life of your old dual core box, for almost no cost. The easiest upgrade--out, in, thermal paste, cooler attach. Quad core for 25 bucks. Why not?Lire l'avis complet...

Short use period, good so far.
I've only had this used Ivy bridge i5 installed for a couple of weeks, its working good. I'm generally happy with this upgrade over my i5 2300.
The one game I've played on the new CPU Hitman 2016, did experience crashing after the CPU swap in population dense areas of the Paris map, this crashing was resolved after making some tweaks to the game's startup options.
While not related to the processor, I did run into some difficulty upgrading the BIOS on my MSI Sandy Bridge motherboard to the Ivy Bridge compatible version.

I5 3750 performs well for the money
Gpt this cpu for about 50 canadian dollars and it performs great. Is a bit tricky to find an LGA1155 socket motherboard however.

I knew it would be a good CPU because it wasn't overclocked since it wasn't a K variant. The purchase process was fairly painless.

Great buy
great CPU I had a amd phenom II x4 830 2.8mhz now everything runs quick and games now run great oh and I forgot to say I overclocked it to 3.5 mhz

Not the right chip but it works well
It was supposed to be an Intel i5-3570 but instead i received i5-2400. Not a huge loss for the price I paid. It works well so I can't complain just beware the chip still had thermal paste all over it so you don't know what you could be getting without cleaning it off.Lire l'avis complet...

Just what i needed.
This processor is pretty good. I put it in a computer for my nephew to use to play games. It runs most games at 1080p 60fps. With high settings on my GTX 1050 TI Mini.

wonderful processor
This works great in my "new" GA-Z77P-D3 motherboard with 8GB DDR3 & 256GB SSD. System boots windows 10 64bit in 10-ish seconds or Kubuntu 17.04 64bit in about 12 seconds.

Good old CPU!
Good CPU, no too great for gaming, because is a i5! But for my streaming machine, is work well and flawlessly!
