Isignia NS DCC5HB09 5mp Digital Camcorder
My first camcorder, and it is sweet. It takes great daytime snapshots. It has a lighting feature for nightshots. I have had 1.3mp camera phone. This is not anything like that. These are true digital photos for a very cheap camera. Great for beginners but experts could handle more complex cameras.
It's a music player. Has its own 32 mb of storage or 2 mins of video. It comes with a SDHC slot for flash memory. I'm buying 16gb card myself. I didn't even need to use the driver CD. Windows recognized it on the spot.

Insignia NS-DCC5HB09 Easy to use cam/camcorder
The first thing that attracted me towards this camcorder is that it does dual duty. It takes hi-def video and also hi-def still pictures. Great camcorder for the beginner or novice. Very easy to read instructions, photo editing software, among a few extras. Very compact. Has a nice little pouch to protect it and will fit in your shirt pocket.
Pros: Takes very nice video and still pictures.
Cons: Very little internal memory. You will have to pick up an sd card at least 4gb.
Overall, I would recommend to anybody needing a video/camera for those spur of the moments when you just have to capture an event immediately.Lire l'avis complet...
Great Camcorder for Recreational Use!
My Insignia NS-DCC5HB09 is a great sized camera for everyday use and extremely durable, which I would know because I have dropped it quite a few times. I would say that it really only works well in well lit places due to it's low quality flash. I also would not consider this HD because although it enlarges onto bigger screens, the picture is sometimes not perfect. I mostly use this to video sporting events and other outdoor activities because I find that the quality is great for that kind of thing. The camcorder fits right in my pocket and the memory cards can be stored in my wallet until needed. It also works really well with streaming video to the computer. There are some other aspects that I think take away from what this camcorder could be capable of. First of all, there is no optical zoom and the digital zoom just makes the subject pixelated. Second, the shutter speed is very slow, at least 2-3 seconds behind. Lastly. the microphone is on the back of the camcorder so it makes it difficult for the subjects to be heard. Great pocket camcorder
Great little camcorder with good quality video and still pictures as well. Nice big and sharp LCD screen. It has many features other camcorders don't have, but it is hard to operate at first until you figure out the menus and how to get there. Battery life seems very good, although the only way to charge it is with the wall charger. It would be nice if it would charge through USB hooked up to a computer.Lire l'avis complet...
Mid range features for a low price
Not a bad budget camera check the features, The video quality isn't terrible but its also not what you would get from a professional camera after all its not a professional camera. I would recommend this unit for anyone making videos for their own enjoyment family events and the like I wouldn't consider the quality broadcast worthy but it is decent. The Power of 720p For Extremely Casual Users
Literally the only advanced feature about this product is that it captures 720p video. Other than that, its a very mediocre product. Horrible in low light, still photos are poor, very shaky video when used by hand (this is to be expected in all budget shooters, however) and low audio microphone quality.
On the plus side, I won this item for under $70 (incl. shipping) and that is amazing when you consider that a few years ago HD was available only to folks with a few thousand dollars to spare.
I recommend this product to users who plan on rarely recording video, or for children. If a child breaks this, no big deal due to the low price. Good for videos
This camera works great for taking videos. The functions are extremely simplified one could venture to say too simplified. Product wirks great, but is not recommended for taking stills. It has the ability but they tend to come out extremely blurry as it catches any slight movement and the internal stabilizer that the camera has does little to stabilize the picture. Recommended as a first camera for ametures, kids/teens, and those that will not be using it desiring a professional feel. This was a great item for the price. The large lcd screen is very helpful. I use this unit to record church services.The unit is a mp3 player, voice recorder, video player and a camera. I have only 3 issues:1)It does not take pictures in motion well. 2)If you are recording and the dc plug comes undone it will not continue to record even though it has the lithium rechargeable battery.3)And lastly the zoom in and out is disabled once you begin to record. A SMALL CAMCORDER.
This camcorder is small to fit your pocket, that make it easy to take anywhere.The quality of this one can't compare to the bigger camcorder of Sony or Panasonic. The 5MP camera feature only give good pictures in sunny outdoor places, inside the house it give bad quality pictures because its flash is very weak.
