In all Truthiness, Colbert DOES shout at everything!
Actually, I purchased this item quite by accident. I was under the impression it was the actual book--I had no idea an audiobook version even existed! But being that I get to listen to Stephen Colbert shout at me WHENEVER I want, I ended up not minding so much.
ALTHOUGH if you're thinking this audiobook is an unabridged version of the book, then you're dead wrong. So I was a little dissapointed at that.

I Am American and So Can You
This is Stephen Colbert on cd, It made me laugh out loud. He is sometimes so off, but ofcourse he is ment to be. I personally like his type of humor. I had wanted the book, and didn't read the discription well enough, until it was mine.
However I am very glad that it is on cd- it is read by Stephen, and has some funny voices of others. I would highly recomend this to anyone who likes to laugh at the state America is in. It is far better then crying!Lire l'avis complet...

I love Steve Corbert and his show The Steve Corbert Report on Comedy Central. This applies to the stress that americans are feeling with the election approaching. We all need a break away from the t.v. and the press and put our nose into something that will take our mind off our worries. You will come away from this book appreciating Steve Corbert's slap stick humor. Its Hysterical ~ side splitting !

Shocked!...
I was very suprised at how much I didnt like this book. I am a huge fan of Colbert and did not at all expect to feel like I had wasted my time after hearing him read his book. My wife and I listened to it on the way to our Christmas festivals and did not enjoy our time hearing it. Humorous, with some cringeworthy moments.
Stephen Colbert is a very funny and wacky guy. There are lots of laughs in his reading of his CD. However sometimes his characterizations or both the left and the right are really mean spirited. Sometimes his humor descends into juvenile 'South Park' type jokes.Lire l'avis complet...

It is one of the most amazing "reads" that I have ever had the pleasure to have. If you love the show, you will this book it has the same whit humor and laughs along with every page.
Preferred the book
After reading the book and listening to the audio book, the printed version proved to be much funnier and more enjoyable for me. I don't know if it has to do with Colbert's voice, his rapid-fire reading, a lack of inflection, or what, but the audio book has barely brought about a smile while I laughed to the point of tears many times while reading the book.Lire l'avis complet...

this is a very funny fellow. watch his show and you'll get an idea how funny this guy is. kind of reminds me of steve allen. try it, you'll like it.
Perfect Gift
