Thermostat
My old digital 1 went Kapoor. So I bought one that was digital, programmable. Could never get it to work right. So I went to a more simple approach and bought this one. Now I don't have to hear anyone bitchin bout the thermostat isn't working. Recommend.Lire l'avis complet...

Back to Basics
I had programmable thermostat that was turning the central propane heater on and off too quickly. It's manual
stated it provided a 1 degree on/off cycle. I cut a jumper inside, and it went to 1.5 degrees. That's why it would short-
cycle on-off-on-off, just getting the duct air up to temp, then turn off. So I bought the CT31A, seeing in the photos
it had a totally adjustable dwell cycle, page 5 in the included manual. I marked the wires as instructed, replaced the thermostat, removed the insert at the contacts (page 5) and tested the ON time. Moving the dwell adjuster downward
gave me a 10 minute ON time, with a 4 degree temp increase....perfect. No more short-cycling. Purely mechanical,
inexpensive, no batteries, and merely move the temp lever to turn up the heat; no pushing buttons or needing glasses to see a digital readout. Old school, but effective for me. The manual can be reviewed online, before you buy.

Simple is better.
We have struggled with digital thermostats; confusion on how to program them, and failures of some after a short time. Our previous thermostat exactly like this lasted 24 years, and our new place needed something reliable and easy to use. This simple one is far superior in my opinion.Lire l'avis complet...

Great old style Thermostat
Simple but effective thermostat. No batteries to fail. Best feature is the adjustable time of the heating cycle, not available on more modern thermostats. LESS IS BEST.

NOT for AC 120 V. current! only work for DC current, cannot be used for AC
NOT for AC 120 V. current! only work for DC current, cannot be used for AC hardwired simple through wall heat fans.
my application is really simple.
i have 6 threw wall hardwired fans, that turn off and on via a thermostat. i bought 6 of these for 6 fans, and my electrician went to install them today and said these cannot be used for 120v. hardwired AC applications, only low voltage DC current applications.
BEWARE of the item description, make sure you need low DC current thermostats, before buying these items. i now own 6 that i cannot use. basically threw 50 bucks away. lousy.Lire l'avis complet...

Good, versatile , reliable
I was looking for a fail-safe mechanical thermostat that did not rely on a battery to prevent freezing at a remote camp. This one fit the bill. Only trick is to figure out how to remove the thermostat, undo the latch/clip that attaches it to the base. It's tricky...from below.Lire l'avis complet...

Good temporary unit
I use theses on houses under construction .
You have to run lead wires out of them then wire it them to the thermostat wires because you have to unscrew the backs to hook wires to them.
