Cheap and reliable.

These Hitachi Deskstar 1tb drives seem to be the cheapest 1tb solution on the internet, I have had one of these variants since 2009 it has worked great without a hickup and has been formated several times, worked so good, I bought 2 more. I installed them in a raid 0 configuration and that too is working very well. for being as quiet as these are I think these would make for some very low cost server space. These drives have been very reliable, and will probably continue to keep chuggin for another 20 years, and 1tb seems to still be a large capacity at this present time so these drives have a good value and are a good bargain.Lire l'avis complet...

Terrific reliability and speed! :-)

I needed a Hitachi E7K1000 1TB HDD to replace a failed Seagate 1 TB hard drive, and Ebay to the rescue! I am now running 100% Hitachi drives (8 of 8) and love them for their reliability. The oldest is now a little over 4 years old running 24x7 with ZERO SMART errors! My next Hitachi drive will be a 4TB drive.Lire l'avis complet...

This is a fast drive well suited to home use.

Great drive...no problems after a good week of hard use. The only thing I have noticed is that it seems to run a little on the hot side. Other than that I would highly recommend this drive, especially the price. It is a fast drive perfectly suited for home use applications.
