Heavier Things is a winner

I put off getting this John Mayer CD for probably 5 years maybe because "Room For Squares" was all i wanted to listen to and boy did I wear that CD out.I really didn't think that Room for squares could be topped but that's part of the beauty of John Mayers music; His albums and even his individual songs don't really compete with one another, each one is it's own experience and that really sets him apart from all the others I think.'Heavier Things' was a pleasant suprise when I finally bought it a couple of months ago. I love this Pop type of music from him. His blues trend lately is certainly less interesting although I love the blues, John is at his best when he stays with pop music,only occasionly flirting with a bluesy riff here and there. I have all of JM CD's they are my favorite CD's for long trips. When we first got this one I didn't like it as much as Room For Squares but it grew on me in no time.

My favorite tracks are #2 Bigger Than my Body, #3 Something's Missing, #7 Split Screen Sadness and FAVORITE of all #10 Wheel. I love the fact that when you purchase this CD there is a insert with a attitude gage, like what kind of mood the songs were written in, where HE was when he wrote the songs etc. It is really kind of fun and whimsical that is one thing that I love about John Mayer's music style is that it always makes me smile and sway with the music.

This probably will not be on anyone's top 10 list if you don't like whimsical music that just makes you feel good, I mean if you are the type of person to pick things apart because of range, complexity etc then avoid this CD it's very reminiscent of nice days and as the CD insert directs you.

I'M REALY INTO MUSIC..ALL DIFFERENT TYPES...RIGHT NOW I'M GOING THROUGH A FAZE WHERE I'M LISTENING TO SOFT POP, LIKE JOHN MAYER, JASON MRAZ, ECT...THE CD IS WONDERFUL, I LOVE IT, I'VE COMPLETED MY JOHN MAYER COLLECTION WITH THIS CD AND IT'S AWSOME...I LISTEN TO IT ALL THE TIME AND IT'S IN GREAT CONDITION, NO SCRATCHES, NOTHING, PERFECT...I LOVE MOST EVERY SONG ON THE CD, THERE ARE A COUPLE THAT I DON'T REALY CARE FOR BUT OVER ALL I LOKE IT ALL...I RECOMEND ANYONE WHO IS INTRESTED IN EASY GOING, SOFT, UP-BEAT, POPPY MUSIC, TO GET THIS ALBUM...Lire l'avis complet...

Another winner!! Love it, can't wait to hear his next one. This is by far one of his best & I have them all. It is slow & easy going. Makes for perfect listening on those heavy days when all the music just gives you a headache, this one won't. John Mayer just gets better & better everytime he records another CD. Clarity

This is John Mayer's best cd yet! I loved his first album Room For Squares so naturally I had to buy this one as well. All the songs are wonderful.

My favorite songs are: Clarity, Something's Missing, and Bigger Than My Body. My absolute favorite is Daughters, fantastic song.

The only bad thing about this cd is that there are only 10 songs. There needed to be more.

If you have been a fan of John Mayer's earlier music you should give this a try. Even if you haven't there is a wide enough array of songs on here, you're bound to find a song you'd like.Lire l'avis complet...

Great songs. "Clarity", " Bigger Than My Body", "Daughters", " Come Back To Bed". The rest of the songs are pretty good too. A great musician with some great songs.

Love John Mayer, He rocks on his guitar.
I decided to buy it after watching one of his concerts.
His voice rocks also. One talented man.
He is a very admired musican in my book. I hope to buy more of his music.

Great CD

Fabulous CD. I love John Mayer and this is why! Not only are the songs played on the radio good but the others as well....I can even take it to the gym with me.
