Excellent book in all respects - good work by all the authors. Value plus!!

I bought this book because its subject is close to my heart. I was born in the city of Harbin. Therefore I was interested in what people say about it.
I was not disappointed because the book turned out to be very interesting and informative. It told me many things I did not know about - many thanks to the authors for this!
I would have liked more illustrations, but thanks even for that what was included to illustrate the text.
It is a pity this book cannot be produced in Russian language, because many older Russians, especially those who were born in Harbin or came there from USSR and live now in Australia, do not have a necessary command of English language to fully understand what is written in this book.
I do not think that it is necessary to compare this book to any other because each book has its own merit and it is not fair to say that this book is better or worse than the other.
