Very refreshing, FUN music! . . . . "Snappy, not crappy!"
I had no idea that this band existed, until I saw them on "Live from Daryl's (Hall) House" (def. worth checking out the show video!). Well, -yes-, I had heard the song "Animal", somewhere in the back of my dome! Wow. . . . . Singer/keyboardist/guitarist Tyler Glenn is breath of fresh air, with his booming vocals (It took me a while to figure out that he is gay ~ Not that there is anything wrong with that). Very decent (not McCartney/Lennon) songwriting FWIW, with straight-forward fun / simple rockers. Nice solid backing band that kicks in the beats. Drummer/singer (& new mom) Elaine Bradley is super talented & energetic, with a sparkling personality, ... and not bad to look at. I read that they are tight with another of my favorites, The Killers, all being residents of the Sin City area. I can slap this disc in at any time of the day/night and immediately get transformed into a better mood. "Animal" *MUST* be played at "11" volume! "1983" brings it, too - - as well as most of the rest of the disc. Strong stuff, from beg. to end. Looking forward to picking up more of their offerings, as well as what the future holds. Great sound. Great Music. My favorite songs are Animal and 1983. All the songs are great.
I listen to this album very often, they've become one of my favorite bands. Very fun music.
Awesome-throwback to the 80s
I loved this CD! I love the music of the 80s and this has that kind of feel to it. I highly recommend it!
Habits by Neon Trees
Love the songs on this CD - especially Animal - I heard it on the radio and knew I had to have it!
My only very minor complaint is that it's only 8 songs - I wish there were more.

yet another group i'd never have heard of without having played their songs on rock band on xbox. excellent album, excellent game, you should own both
