Great little Camera for Time-Lapse Work, Instructions Not Complete
We really like the HP lc100w camera. We now have 4 of them, used for time-lapse movies of various scenes. Battery life is very good, about 1,700 photos can be captured on one charge, when in the time-lapse mode (with time between photos of 10 sec or longer).
A device with Apple iOS 8 or higher (with Wi-Fi) is required to change settings.
Instructions do not point out that "i3_d722_title" must be turned ON for camera to go into sleep mode between shots for long battery life.
Resolution of photos is very good. 4K time-lapse movies are possible with this camera.Lire l'avis complet...

Great Little Camera
Instruction manual is a little wrong. There is no "Power Saving Mode" button for time-lapse photos on the "PixiCam" iOS software. The key is to set "i3_d722_title" to "ON" (off is default). Then the camera will run for 6-1/2 days, using 5 minutes between photos, for instance. Without power saving, run time is 2 to 2-1/2 hours. In HD video mode, 1-1/2 hours at 15deg F. Other than this, it's accurate. PixiCam software is fairly intuitive. 4K videos can be made using the time-lapse mode.
Image quality is excellent. Waterproof housing lens cover scratches easily. Replace with a glass lens, etc. It would be nice to have a waterproof connection for external power.
We're using the camera in a 'stationery' mode. It's excellent for nature studies. Jump out of a plane with it, or ride a bike, or go skiing with it, I dunno. I do have 3 HP LC100w's, though, because I really like them and the price is getting better.Lire l'avis complet...
