Extremely reliable drives and a good value that lasts a long time.

HGST has to be one of the best HDD made. I have bought them when they were an independent company and they were bought out by Western Digital in Oct 2013, who is phasing them out and identifying them as HGST drives. I've used four of these drives so far in internal and external applications with no problems. I buy drives primarily for their reliability and reasonable speed. HGST is a true winner for storage needs.

Inexpensive relative to SSDs, astronomically so..perfect storage as mechanical drives have a proven record and best for data recovery..not so much with SSD yet.

Far much better that Western Digital
