Fun game, worth the money, buy it.

This is a great game for the PSP system, lots of my favorite cars are featured and it is very fun. The only reason it only gets 4 out of 5 stars, is you can only choose cars from four different car companies each "day", so if there is a car in the game you really want you have to wait for that car company to show up one day. The other reason is that this game does not have a career mode, you just pick a track, a car,etc and race. Not Worth Your Money

Let me start out by saying that I am a great fan of the Gran Turismo series. It is the uncontested leader of racing simulators. However, it does not make the transition well at all to the portable system.
This game has one thing going for it: the massive car list. Other than that, everything goes wrong. Unlike the rest of the Gran Turismo series, the career mode is not structured. You simply pick a type of race, the track, the difficulty, and your off. Also unlike previous Gran Turismo games, money is very easy to come by; you can win 50,000 credits very, very easily after one race. The cars are still expensive, but the money comes so easily it does not take long to save up. The other career mode is a driving school, with stupid challenges. The worst part about the game though, is the same thing that it boasts the most: the cars.
Firstly and worsely, the game only lets you select from certain dealers on certain days, this is absolutly pointless. Then, although the graphics are outstanding for PSP, they are a big step down if you are used to the flashy PS3 version. Overall, this game just does not hold its own, and does not represent Gran Turismo well.
For $9.99, it would be a good buy, but at its current price of $29.99, it is a definite pass. I say, save your money to get the highly anticipated Gran Turismo 5 for PS3.Lire l'avis complet...

Gran Turismo is available as both a Universal Media Disc (UMD) at retail and as a digital download from the PlayStation Store.The game features over 800 cars, although only four cars are present in a single race. The exotic car manufacturer Ferrari is featured, and for the first time in the main Gran Turismo series, Lamborghini, Bugatti and various other cars were introduced and fully licensed. There is no damage model in the game. 45 tracks are included, and most can be driven forward and reverse[citation needed], for close to 75 layouts.

Gran Turismo is centered on completing driving missions in order to advance in the game, unlike Gran Turismo 4's open-ended map. The game uses a new trading system to allow players to acquire cars. Ad hoc multiplayer will be supported for up to four players. Gran Turismo also allows online play through a free downloadable PlayStation 3 (PS3) application known as Adhoc Party for PlayStation Portable.During an interview at E3, it was revealed that tracks featured in the game are directly sourced from Gran Turismo 4 and Tourist Trophy, while the game's physics engine is based on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

Gran Turismo for the PSP

This game hasn't come out of my PSP since I got it!
The driving characteristics are just like the PS2 version, only smaller.
I think that more than makes up for the lack of a "Career Mode".
You still have the "Challenge" section where they let you learn how to handle different corners and situations. Not as extensive as the PS2 version, but what do expect, you can put this one in your pocket and play it anywhere!
Bottom line...GREAT game, graphics are awesome, driving physics are incredible, and the Bugatti Veyron is a MONSTER!!!Lire l'avis complet...

Great game only drawback is the multiplayer. You can’t connect unless you have it connected to a PlayStation system

Gran Turismo, a portable version

I got the title "Gran Turismo for PSP" based on various reviews, videos and weight of the franchise.

After some games I conclude that it is really a great game with good graphics and many levels of gaming options, especially in the range of cars and tracks available.
