Wired nest doorbell

I have a wired nest doorbell at my main entrance of my home and wanted another for the back to keep an eye on the backyard. This one however doesn’t have a clear picture but has all the other features nest offers. This was a used product and this is probably the reason they sold it! Better than Ring.

I've had ring in the past, but after about 2 years it stopped working. I've been doing lots of research. I am into the Google ecosystem but the price for new Google products are pricy. Great for your security needs

I love my nest doorbell! It has a very wide view and works perfectly with my existing doorbell system. Set up was easy and the app works flawlessly even with voice. The only issue is that almost every little thing sets it off and you get a lot of notifications. You can set zones for focus points but it still alerts for things outside of the focal area. Otherwise it's a great camera and the subscription is not that expensive. For $5 a month you get 5 day playback via cloud storage and you can cut clips and download them for your own needs or you can go for the more expensive options and get even more days of recording. Each device requires its own subscription even if it's on the same account so 2 nest doorbells equals 2 $5 subscriptions.Lire l'avis complet...

The best video security doorbell on the market with a few bugs to iron out!👍

Great product with easy to follow instructions. Very clear camera view day and night! There are some bugs to iron out such as getting notified every second or two. A vehicle lights could come into view a half Bloch away and I would get a notice. The zones are a little confusing to set up also. It seems it doesn’t matter whether the camera sees zone one or zone two, I will get notified. It does start to recognize familiar faces pretty quickly! Better than expected

I must say the installation was a breeze for me, and as long as you are mechanically inclined and handy around the house you shouldn’t have difficulty. But if you’re not comfortable doing an install yourself then hire a professional. Just be sure that the door bell is wired to at least a 24v low voltage transformer, if not your door bell will reflect low voltage warning (flashing orange led light). Low voltage will result to no video signal to your cellphone for live video viewing. I purchased a refurbished NEST Hello Smart WiFi Video Doorbell, but to my surprise I received it “like new.” It is worth the purchase and saved a little money. Faces are too dark to recognize...

Sophisticated with numerous features (if you have a Nest Aware account), high-quality construction, but quite expensive, and, it's struggling show people's faces clearly enough for its face recognition to work, or, for me to see who is at the door. And since its installation, the weather has been cloudy and overcast...hardly a high-contrast situation - can't imagine what it'll look like on a bright, sunny day.

I turned up the camera quality to High, with no effect. Not aware of any other ways to improve the picture quality. Interestingly, the camera in my 4 year old Google Pixel XL has no problem showing face detail in the same location as the Nest Hello.

Great addition and added security

Great security addition to my home. If you are a google house, I highly recommend over ring as it seems to synchronize with other google products nicely. The best being the hub/hub max as it will display the live feed when someone rings the bell or if you ask it to do so. This feature also works with the chromecast which is nice if you dont have a hub.

One hurdle I ran into but was my transformer for my previous doorbell did not supply enough power for constant video. This was clearly stated in all reviews I read and I figured it might be an issue, but I rolled with it anyway and just thought I'd try. Easy fix with new transformer (I'd eventually have to replace the old one anyway), and now works perfectly. This was not in anyway the products fault. It was just me keeping my fingers crossed and hoping to get lucky.

Nest aware is a great feature as well. It's free for a month and I love the facial recognition feature, but the non paid version which alerts you when there is someone or something near will seem to be fine for me.

Overall, 4.5 stars with .5 being docked only for price compared to other similar products (though I do thing this is the best video doorbell available).Lire l'avis complet...

High-quality video day or night. Amazing quality and very easy to set up and use. The unit comes with a 30 day trial of 5-days video back-up. After the trial, the cost is $5 a month which is reasonable.
