Sturdy and great price.
I purchased a similar can opener from "good cooks" a few years ago for a lot more at a kitchen store. I wanted to gift another one to a friend, recently. After looking around, I was disappointed with their newer model and the newer price. On a whim, I purchased this one due to the price. This one is much sturdier and easier to clean than the other ones on the market. It is also more compact to save storage space.
Overall, the safe cut can openers are great for kids due to no sharp edges. I can reuse the lid for leftovers in the original can, too.
Everyone who has seen this and used it at my house has wanted one.
Most of all, it is easier to use than a conventional can opener.

One Less Thing To Cut My Wife
The last time my wife cut her self on a can that was opened with a traditional hand operated can opener I looked around for this can opener. I didn't have a clue what it was called but found reviews on Youtube. I told my wife to order one. Shes been using it since it arrived, I haven't used it. Best opener I've ever used
This is probably the best opener I have ever used. The best before this was the first generation Good Cook openers that had two handles, but this is even better with just one. No sharp edges on a can, easy to turn, just back the knob off and it comes right off of the lid when its done. Time will tell as to how durable this product is, but for the price its hard to beat. It doesn't seem to cause a lot of strain on any of its parts, so I imagine it should last quite a while.Lire l'avis complet

Hard to find a good can opener
Finally, FINALLY.... I bought a can opener that will, are you ready for this, OPENS cans. Yeah! I had bought 3 or 4 before this one within 2 years and there were problems with them all. Gears strip, blade comes off or it just sits there and spins. This one just worked. At first I was like, "how is this going to open a can" it didn't look like a normal can opener and I'm glad it didn't, because it works. Oh, and it makes a real clean and smooth cut. Pretty cool, thanks guys.
Well... I'd like to "update my review". I guess I should wait and use things a little longer before I review them. It totally failed within a few months. It no longer works at all. Could SOMEONE PLEASE just make a can opener that will work for more than 10 or 20 cans? I would no longer recommend this one to anybody. Try it you will like it.;
This is the best way to open a can of anything. The device works, how it works is a mystery to me but it works first time and every time thereafter. The top of the can comes free and functions as a lid for future use. You just have to try it to discover it, and love it forever. Great gift too. Unlikely to ever wear out is there is such a thing. Nice feel and does a good job
I have not used an opener such as this before and it seems like it would not work properly but it works very well actually. The cut is not on top of the lid as most regular openers but under the lip which actually works really well. Lire l'avis complet

Safety can opener works well
Deceptively simple design works well and the cans edges aren't sharp. You can replace the lid on the can so if you don't use it all (like tomato paste) you can store the remainder of the can in the fridge and it won't dry out. It does take a little more effort to turn the handle than regular can openers but it's still much easier than the first safety can opener I bought years ago that was so hard to turn that I stopped using it.Lire l'avis complet

Works awesome! Love it! The only thing about it is that sometimes it can be a little tricky removing the opener from the lid after you've opened a can, but maybe I just need more practice/use with it to have no trouble with it. Also, it's not a big deal to me, but the picture of the can opener that's showing now is not what I received. The good cook label is not silver, it's black. MUST HAVE EASY..best in my 71 years.
Stupidly simple and works like a charm. Wish I had one long before this one and I need another one for my cabin in the woods. Excellent EASY design. Good opener, good price
Opens cans easily. A little concerned that the handle is plastic and not sure how long it will hold up before breaking, but it could be a long time before I know this. Otherwise satisfied.
