Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla (DVD, 2004)

Great Godzilla Film

In my opinion, this is the best of the '70s Godzilla films. It's got a decent story, good characters and some cool villains. By that, I mean the aliens. They're cool ape men in human disguises. You see their true form when they're injured. There are no other aliens like them anywhere in the Godzilla franchise. Mechagodzilla is a cool monster, and King Caesar isn't bad either. The fight at the end is cool, even if it does defy science a bit in places. But, Godzilla films aren't about science, they're about having fun. This movie made it look like the Showa era of Godzilla films had reached a turnaround point. Unfortunately, the follow-up, Terror of Mechagodzilla, wasn't nearly as good as this awesome classic.Lire l'avis complet

Classic and a Must-See!

Ridiculous, rubber monsters where you can literally SEE the strings holding/manipulating them. They were sort of Chuck E. Cheese meets Build-A-Bear in a tornado and an electrical storm with a bunch of red paint and a bully robot BUT somehow as horrendously bad as the props and the acting and even the costumes were, it was so bad, it was great; it was GODZILLA! It was Godzilla AND you found yourself totally routing for him, and cheering AGAINST the “Mecha” Godzilla who had been engineered by these Spacemen, who turned out to be Space Apes! Dont dont don! Bootleg movie

Was very excited to get this movie since it was my favorite one as a child and when I saw the price I thought it was too good to be true. I should have listened to my instincts because I came to find out it was a bootleg copy. At least some people have the courtesy to say in the title that it’s non collectible but not here. However despite being a bootleg copy of the movie it at least looks fine when you watch it which is why I’m giving it 2 stars. Overall, if you just want to watch the movie then go right ahead and buy it but if you are trying to make a collection or have a real copy stay far away. Lire l'avis complet

DVD plays great.
Out of print so if you can get one for a reasonable price (less than $30 I say) I cant recommend it enough.

Campy cheesy movie but very entertaining.

Great Kaiju Fun

I’m super excited!!!

I never really review my orders but as the last I saw this movie was in the 90s on VHS, I feel the need to say something. A rare cult classic gem of a find!

It's my favorite movie growing up as a child; I still own the VHS tape. Apparently it's rare! I could never find a copy at any store, and Amazon is charging $100+ for the same movie!

Product came fast with original wrapping and security stickers. One of the stickers kind of messed up the top of the box art but that's a nit pick.
